If you're looking to benefit from future gaming use like DirectStorage, no.

If it's just for casual gaming or plan to upgrade in a year or so, you'll be fine.

"The P41 Plus is a PCIe 4.0 drive, but the rated sequential read speed just barely exceeds the interface limits for a PCIe 3.0 x4 slot. "

Given the price, it seems to be a better deal than the Kingston NV2. Here's a review: https://www.tomshardware.com/revi...sd-review/.

According to Sony the expansion drive needs to be gen4 AND at least 5,500 mb/s read speed. This drive is a gen 4 but the speeds are much lower than the requirement. So it may or may not work, but even if it does itll be too slow to play ps5 games directly off of.
