These are not brushless. Not a great deal. I am a Milwaukee guy but the Ridgid deal gives you 6 brushless tools for $399 which is really unbeatable. Wouldn't buy old Milwaukee brushed over brushless Ridgid.

Okay, Okay, so it's not Brushless and it's not the M18 "FUEL" battery series...but you are buying into the Milwaukee family of tools for a very reasonable amount. This is still a great deal for quality tools...and it's a deal site so...I think this is still very remarkable compared to other no-name or low cost and low quality brands. Milwaukee has been around forever, while hundreds of other brands have come and gone. Need an extra battery, or a new battery after a few years with most other brands? Good luck! While everyone wants brushless because you get more battery life out of your tools and more power and torque...the non-brushed tools are still very decent, and they are still a great deal. Don't forget, it use to be the standard! If you're not using your tools all day long on the job, these tools will probably be perfect. Even then, you have two batteries so you can charge them. I have noticed my Milwaukee batteries seem to charge much faster than my DeWalt ones. I may have read it wrong but it looks like the tools carry a 5 year warranty and the batteries only carry a 2-3 year warranty separately depending on the series/type. This is also phenomenal. There's more good here than bad in my opinion.

You're getting 5 quality tools, and two batteries, one of which is 3.0 milliamp. If I didn't already have the stuff I wouldn't hesitate to buy this set. Milwaukee is hard to beat in the diversity and line up of tools that they offer. I'm primarily a DeWalt guy but I know a good deal when I see it. Most of the trades use Milwaukee and I would say that they have a good reputation for a reason.

You'd buy ridgid over Milwaukee? On purpose?? I am a contractor and all my tools are more than a few years old 18v milwaukee and NONE are brushless or fuel. I've literally never had a problem doing even the gnarliest jobs. Mixing concrete, hogging 1 inch drill bits through railroad ties, dropping tools off a roof and they still work etc. I was given a ridgid drill driver kit for christmas years ago and that thing had no torque and the bits wobbled. ridgid is trash

Watch Youtube comparison and you'll see Ridgid brushless beat Milwaukee brushed in most use cases. You won't have a problem with Milwaukee brushed tools, they are great, but brushless is superior on so many levels that it is worth going brushless. I use these tools all the time so have the opportunity to directly compare them.
In a major job like hogging or mixing concrete I have no doubt Milwaukee brushed will beat ridgid in pure torque but in most use cases and in battery life Ridgid brushless does beat them.
