Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?
I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.
If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

WTF:

Response from Chat rep:

the $25 deal for home internet is if you add an extra voice line to current account to then receive the $25 deal on home internet.
That exactly what I got from chatting with TMobile Rep

Just did this offer.
Called 611 spoke to 1st rep.

Told them about the offer, tmobile oneplan.
Went through perfectly.
The $100 MC has to be done after I activate the internet through tmobile promotions page.
Activation is free.

I called TMobile Home Internet, talked to a CSR, and "got" the promotion for $25/month. She told me:
- $25/month
- Cancel anytime
- $35 activation fee is waived just for today
- She took CC for the "order"

However, the only emails received
- Email about claiming Promotions (she didn't say anything about promotions. I'm assuming it's the $100 promotion)
- Email confirming order of the router

That's it. No confirmation email about actual $25/month Home Internet service.

That was 2 hours ago. I guess I need to call CSR to see if all this actually went through at the $25/rate which I think I signed up for.

Just odd.
It's not that odd. This is pretty much how T-Mobile does everything.

They issue bill credits rather than a discount. The bill credits are what enable them to keep you as a customer. If your drop your phone lines, the bill credits go away and the price goes back to $50.

You won't see bill credits upon check out of the order and they will take up to 2 months to show up.

I've currently had tmobile internet for about 3 weeks. Initially it worked fine but on the 3rd week the gateway/router had a shit fit and gets stuck in a restart loop every 10min. A quick google search revealed its pretty common issue 🤷🏻 ♂️. Im going to get a new one to see if that solves the issue.

I could get behind this as a backup option to my current FiOS setup, or maybe find a way to multiplex the connections.
This is exactly what I do, I have T-Mobile Home Internet as a failover for FIOS, utilizing a UDMPro as my router, it has failover functionality built in. I am not a T-Mobile voice customer, but this deal may make sense for me to switch from Verizon. $300 / year in savings for my backup internet sounds nice.

Just chatted with a rep. It shows $50 but you will get credited every bill cycle. Also you don't need to have autopay to get it.

I did end up adding a line and rep stated I can drop it later and keep the $25.00 credit. I hope that is true. I have a Simple Choice plan

Just got the $25/month deal, but I could not get the $100 prepaid card. Rep said this is only available with the Magenta Max plan.

Yes, this bring up a good point how this promotion going to affect existing Tmobile Home internet customer. Good chance there will be some kind of noticeable (or even significant) speed drop when all Tmobile service area adding large number of new users.

The Magenta Military plan is different from the Military 1.0 plan?
