Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?
I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.
If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

I get between 100 and 150 download consistently, but there is a lot of variance.I I have had over 200 on occasion, but that'sis an outlier.

It dies flake out periodically and is not as stable as my other wireless line of site ISP, but that's why I have both.
This one is current one TM hotspot..

Check your junk mail. My T-Mobile order information was sent there. I check after T-Mobile called to confirm my address and email.

Obviously dealing with 5G service varies WIDELY depending on how close you are to a tower, where you place your T-Mobile wireless device, how congested that tower traffic is, and many other variables. Your internet speeds will vary widely depending on all your variables.

However I can tell you that I get great, dependable service and have for the last 4 months. I get anywhere from 120 to 220Mbps downloads and 22 to 50Mbps uploads. I've had no outages yet and it powers all of our smart devices including laptop and streaming TV. I did connect my wireless router directly to the T Mobile device via cat 6 cable and do not use their device for any wireless, so I can't comment on how well it handles wireless traffic.

I love that there are no surprises in my bill and would recommend it to anyone. If it didn't work for you, return within 15 days for no charge whatsoever. If you're looking for Internet service, this really is a no brainer to at least try. Nothing to lose except the time to test it out.

Not sure if I'm just lucky, but the chat rep is giving me $25 home internet even though I'm just a metro customer (and he didn't even really verify that I was a metro customer). So there may be some flexibility there...
Did you have to sign into your metro account cuz rep destini checks

"Not available in your area yet". Shocker. It's a good day when I can get one bar on Verizon.

I'm an existing home internet customer. Customer service rep told me that if I add a second home internet line, then cancel the existing home internet line within the first year, they would remove the credits.

That would not surprise me. That happens with the free line promos

The reps have no idea. That is obvious.

Just apply for the promo as the instructions tell you too. If you get it great, if not, we'll than I guess you really didn't qualify.

Be sure to check your spam folder.
I placed my order by phone, and the order confirmation email came from [email protected].

This is the exact question I asked the rep I spoke to said the 5G gateway we get will be locked to the area towers..so If you take the gateway outside the area, it won't work.
Can someone verify this? I don't think it's true.

So am I.

There is zero in the terms saying this only applies to magenta plans. There is zero in the terms saying you have to add a line.
It does say you have to activate a new line... at least that's the way I read it

T-Mobile is offering their T-Mobile High Speed 5G Internet for Life for $25/Month w/ AutoPay when you activate a new Home/Small Business Internet Line on an eligible plan or have/add a voice line on an eligible plan (New/Existing Voice Customers).
