Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?

I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.

If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

I started the T-Mobile home internet trial 8 days before this promo started. I did not have any voice services with them. I contacted customer service through chat and through Facebook to see how I could qualify for the promotional offer since I was still within my trial period. They stated they if I added a voice line of service to my account then I would qualify for the promo price of $25.00. I asked them what the lowest plan that I could activate on BYOD and still qualify. They stated it was the $20.00 unlimited talk and text plan with no data. I ended up activating the line through chat. When the sim card shipped the line showed up in my account and the future dated price of my home internet plan now shows $25.00 for next month and my phone line shows $20.00 both include taxes. So it saves me $5.00 per month and I have voice line to boot.

I am ASSUMING it will. I just cancelled the old line this morning. I am logged in and I'm still showing both lines on my account $50 original and the new one $25. Don't see why the promo would go away for cancelling the previous line. On the small chance it does, I will be calling them to complain. But I am optimistic it'll stay put.

Model I got yesterday in-store is the Sagemcom Fast 5688W model:

Thanks, I hope it goes as planned. I have the Arcadian model and it's severely underperforming compared to my Nokia trashcan. It seems to love a slower band whereas the Nokia would pick the least congested one. I may try the Sagecom.

Yeah, most are refurbished units. The best way to get a new is going in store since they are giving out the Sage gateway with came out recently so less likely to be a refurbished one.
Not all though. On mine, the year and week of manufacture is on the product label attached to the device. Mine was made 43rd week of 2022.

where are you seeing CPO? I don't see it. My Arc is HW Ver: R01, Date: 10/27/2022, Made in Vietnam
Quoted the wrong guy but the CPO the other user was talking about is shown on the order T-mobile made to send you the modem. You can see it online under account history.

How do you go about disabling the T-Mobile WiFi on the Arcadyan gateway and will this disable DHCP?
Do a search on this thread using keyword youtube or reddit, should be able to find some posts where the question was answered.

Out of the 3 gateways the Sage one has the most bands. From what I have seen posted online it likes connecting to n41. It also the most buggy one out of the 3 but all of them were at first and very likely it is going to get better with new firmwares.

Good luck.

Agreed. They won't let you get away with canceling your existing service to sign up at a lower price.
I thought so too. Cancelled the internet line, yet to ship the router back. Called home internet number and placed a new order. It shows the discount. So no clue why and what terms say here but my account is reflecting the discount.

Just received the Gateway today. Brand new gateway with WiFi capability and two ethernet ports. I simply hooked it up to my existing router and everything seems to be working fine. All my streaming devices, kids' tablets, etc. I haven't checked any speeds but things seems to be as good as my Comcast 75MBps. T-Mobile page shows $25 and submitted $100 promo.

Then, called Comcast to cancel the service. They tried to lower the price, but the thing with Comcast is that the "lower price" or promotion only lasts 12 months. Then, every 1 year, I have to call for a different promotion - and every 1 year the price creep up with $10 etc. Finally, I am free of Comcast and I love it. I've been with T-Mobile for my cell phones for 10+ years and when T-Mobile says that they will not raise the price, I believe that.

If it works and the discount sticks, great. It is not supposed to and from a business perspective, definitely not intended by TMO. They want to get new people in on their service, not cut their current revenue from it in half.

Damnt, I'm slacking. I have the Small Business Internet and it's been great. How do I get the deal-- do I have to cancel this one first and then order it?

Stopped by the T-mobile store after work today and picked up the deal with the Arc router. It could not have been any easier. Guy knew everything about the deal and also signed me up for the 100$ gift card at the store. I was in and out in 15 minutes. Have not opened the box yet but its a new sealed ARC unit with manufacturing date of Nov, 5, 2022. We shall see how it works. I plan to disable the wifi and use it as a modem.
