Solid deal! Recommending for my parents who only need a laptop for Microsoft office, email, and web browsing. This is perfect! I did double check the ram specs and it looks like it is indeed not upgradable from the soldered 8gb ram, which is a number, but should be more than enough for what they need it for.

What's funny about this comment is that is what people would use the low-end Intel Atom laptops for. Web has gotten so bloated and inefficient that you actually would need something like this just to browse.
16.1-inch screen with 98% of sRGB coverage and accurate colors (when our Gaming and Web design profile is present)
No aggressive PWM
Up to 15 hours of Web browsing on battery
Almost all-metal built with a lid leverage system
Fingerprint reader
PCIe Gen 4 support
Wi-Fi 6, and dual M.2 SSD support
Cons
Soldered memory
No SD card reader
CPU stays hot under load
If it had upgradeable RAM I'd bite, but I like the fact it has 2 M.2 slots, I've got a 2 TB M.2 lying around with 'buntu, this would be perfect for a dual boot box with lots of storage, but if I have to pry up the keyboard to stick in the second drive (probable, do laptops still come with little hatches on the bottom?) I want to be able to stick in a 8GB DDR4 sodimm I have lying around from my now dead laptop.

In case it helps the detailed Item description within the eBay posting states the maximum supported memory is 16gb.
According to specs of the laptop at acer.com, memory technology is LPDDR4X - it's not upgradable, it's directly soldered on the motherboard

From your stated requirements I bet there are thousands of laptops that would fit the bill!
<$700

I bought it in 375 probably in bf deal. I love it. This is light weight and good battery life.
