Good luck getting an installation done. All the stores near me are booked until mid January.
$190 for TT members.
I like it but my wife works in a large hospital and her car is parked in a parking garage. So most of the time the car doesnt start from the other building she is working at. So since this is unlimited range, i am thinking this might be better. I understand the subscription pricing but if we use it for 4/12 months it is cold here, i guess its worth it.

I can't seem to add the installation to my cart. I click it and the window jumps around, but never finishes updating. I've tried multiple browsers and OSes. Anyone know how to ensure you get the installation for free?

Is TT good for anything else? You save $110 with TT, and I know the TT discount is common on these, but are there any other items that TT regularly saves you money on to make up the rest of the cost of the membership?
TT is great if you value warranties, or installation on things.

It's especially great if you do any kind of mobile installs. Stereos, dashcams, backup cameras, etc. All of that is included in TT.

Not to mention free delivery/install if you buy appliances.

TT really is a great deal, IF you plan to buy a fair amount of things from BB over the course of a year.

Admittedly, the branding on it is awful. People hear Total Tech Support (the original name) and think that it was literally just them helping you with tech support, which is NOT the case. There's so much more to it than that.

Try this as a guide. It may not be up to date but will give you an idea of what appointments are available in your area.

https://www.bestbuy.com/services/autotech

DO NOT USE THIS TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT.

Use the phone number of the store you want.

I got it, free delivery and installation, but read below.

Per my account I saved 60 on protection and 330 on services.

They installed my daughter's car stereo, for free BUT the computer model did not work ( that makes her steering wheel controls work, OnStar and car starter). I had chatted with BBT Rep to make sure it worked because it is a 160 mile round trip to have it installed. So they wanted to replace it with one that only her starter worked. I would have had to take the car back another 160 mile drive. I declined, got the radio and computer from Crutchfield I saved money because the computer was way way cheaper and it worked on the steering wheel and the starter, but I installed it myself. But BB still counts this on my account.

They delivered my refrigerator and hooked it up for free which was nice, but they damaged the refrigerator and gave me a BB gift card.

I'm having them deliver an exercise bike on Monday fingers crossed.

edit. I should add the website wouldn't allow for delivery to my house again 80 Mi away from a Best Buy) I talked to a total Tech support and they got the delivery handled. but I did question TT before I bought TT if they would really deliver to my house, and they confirmed my address.

I read somewhere that push button starts won't work with this. Is that true?

I just recently got this on my 2020 Forester but it hasn't been as smooth. It will start the car fine but I can't get the heat or vents to come on unless I put my foot on the brake. I shut the car down with the vents and heat on full, but when I remote start it everything is locked out until the key is in the car and I put my foot on the brake.

Does anyone else have an issue like this? Could this be installer error?
Any progress on finding a solution? I am debating putting on a 2023 Ascent but I read somewhere you it doesn't work with push button start.

Not, yet I need to contact bestbuy to have them look at it. Mine is a push start too and it works to start the car, it just inhibits any sort of HVAC when doing so until the key fob is in the car.

If it's a Toyota it will shut off when you open the door. I believe all it's the same on some other PUSH BUTTON STARTS

Sorry for the newbie question.

I have a 2008 Honda CRV LX, and it needs to insert a key to engine turn on.
Do I still need to insert the key to drive even if the engine started using this remote system?
So this is how it works:
1) Remote crank, car starts
2) once driver is in vehicle, insert key into ignition, typically driver will turn key 2 clicks, not 3 clicks (starter is 3rd click).
3) you're ready to go

Note:
1) If driver presses break before step 2, engine automatically shuts off.

I got two of these last yr, and that was the only reason I did the TT thing. Probably wouldn't have if I just bought one.

As others have said, unless you are buying a lot at BB (and using TT for free delivery, set-up, and need help with troubleshooting), it's probably not worth it.

Also keep in mind you (obviously) need to have a current membership for the 2 yr warranty to actually work. So really, figure on whatever TT costs X 2 (first yr, and 2nd) to actually get that length out of the warranty. And...that most devices come with a 1 yr warranty already, so...year one overlaps original manufactures.

And, why with the two TV's I bought a few weeks back I got the Geek Squad extended warranty, not TT.

I think push-to-start Lexus and Toyota have this "feature". I had this just installed in a push-to-start Mazda CX-5 and you can unlock the door without the engine stopping. Not the case with my daughter's 2017 RAV4.

The BestBuy guy that did our Mazda was great. He had it and the add-on drone module installed in less than 1 hour. Very professional, no nonsense - went over everything in detail,
answered questions patiently and we were on our way.

Does this key work in place of the factory proximity key to allow touching the door handle for lock and unlock just like the factory key?

If you plan on using the DRONE app: it has a complimentary free subscription for the 1st month only. Thereafter, you'd have to pay to a subscription fee (depending on the tier) to use it.

Also, note that the DRONE has unlimited range, the remote does not.

I don't need anything fancy, just the remote start. Is this worth it or are there cheaper options?
