The shipping weight of the carton is 6 lbs which includes the laptop, power supply and all packaging so not sure where 8 lbs came from.

Just got mine and they are damaged box. Clearly said BRAND NEW in item description. Bait & Switch? Will be going back.

It was missing the entire top corner of the box. Literally nothing but styrofoam for a good 10" of the corner and a large hole the size of a dollar bill right in the middle of the box. Totally beat up box.
