cant speak to reliability, but i use the ever loving heck out of my foodie xl 8 qt i grabbed at target on clearance for a touch under this price.

being on a plant based / vegan diet, I can meal prep like no other for the whole week. only slight con is its a big unit for just one person, you could cook up a storm for an army or two in this.

I have the one with two lids and I throughly clean the pressure cooker lid after each use if for no other reason than to get rid of the smell. As much as I would love to switch to this new smart lid model, I just don't think it's possible for me to clean it the way I want to, at least it looks too troublesome and requires removing screws. I'm just wondering am I cleaning too much? Do people not clean their pressure cooker lids after each use?

I have the first generation of this air fryer/pressure cooker combo and it died about 14 months after I got it (right after the warranty). I did use it almost every day though, but I was able to get it replaced as I had purchased it with a credit card that extended the warranty.

It's a wonderful machine, but it is sure dreadful to clean and build-up will happen no matter how often you wipe it after use. There are too many crooks and nannies that things can get under and now the lids are combined so I can't imagine how grimey it can get. I am hoping Ninja releases a model with a detachable lid someday that makes it easier.

100 dollars sounds like a steal though since this is the newest model (I purchased mine for around 250).

how is this compared to Instapot?
The pressure cooker portion will be identical, the benefit is the addition of the air fryer, which makes this a space saver and a lot more convenient. After I got my older Ninja Foodi with the 2 lids instead of this smart lid design I got rid of my air fryer and my pressure cooker and been using this ever since.

This a good replacement/upgrade for a still working original instant pot from like 8 years ago?
I mean unless your looking to save space or else air fry a lot, if yours is still working I would just stick with it. Overall performance when it comes to pressure cookers is identical across every brand I used.

I was thinking of buying for wife but multiple reviews bad, one said lasted only tmonths then after getting replacement that one also had problems soon.

Seems only way I would buy is with extra Warranty, which I almost never buy.
Never used this smart lid design but if the failure point is in the smart lid design look for the older Ninja foodi that comes with the two lids. Overall my foodi with the two lids has been rock solid now for over a year.

I have one of these and the 8 qt is HUGE. You have to add quite a bit of liquid or it fails to reach pressure a lot. It can be frustrating. I wish I would have bought the smaller model. Might be just my issue, it's a good machine overall.

Excellent deal and perfect timing.

Code: HOLIDAY brought the price down to $85 for me. Shipped free. I haven't seen this lower than $180, and the 6.5qt was at this price BF.

Ive been tempted to get this to replace my instant pot + air fryer. But anyone know if it's as easy to clean as a standalone basket air fryer? Usually I can just rinse it out with some soap and hot water, and even really messy things take very little scrubbing
