I always say on threads like this that if you have a best buy outlet in your city, it's worth it to see if they have this. I picked one up about thsi time last year for $325. Was still brand new in box.

Great Peloton bike hack deal! Picked this one up at full price at Dick's Sporting Goods during the pandemic at full $800 price when exercise equipment were at it's highest price peak. This is a great deal for one looking for an exercise bike. Highly recommended. Check out youtube for IC4 Schwinn bike as a Peloton replacement.

I had the IC4 3 years ago before I moved. Its a solid bike. Just got the Echelon EX-4s+ at Costco for $499 plus 1 year free membership. Its a solid bike. I'd say a little better built than the IC4. Also tried out the Echelon sport from Walmart, thats in a much lower league in my opinion. I'd give the Walmart Echelon a 5. The IC4 a 7. And the Echelon EX-4s+ from Costco a 8. Can't go wrong with the IC4 or EX-4s+ for $499. Def worth the extra $200 over the Sport from Walmart. If you belong and buy from Costco, while maybe a pain, you can return it down the line if there are any issues.

Ex-4s has bismal reviews on Costco.com. Many are complaining about Bluetooth. Reviews of IC4 on Amazon is pretty solid.

Saw the Echelon EX-4S+ in Costco yesterday and debated returning this and getting that instead. But ultimately decided to stick with the Schwinn, as I don't use Peloton or Zwift, and even if I did, you'll always need to run the QZ app in between to get the auto-resistance function working, which is a bother. Basically, if you enjoy hacking and tinkering with gadgets (and Android, specifically), And know that you'll make use of the auto-resistance, then the Echelon is probably a better buy.

Anyway, set up the bike today. Super easy assembly. There was blue Loctite pre-applied on the pedals, which I gather is a recent change due to complaints, so I'm hopeful I won't need to tighten them too often or run into too many issues. Screwing in the pedals incorrectly is really the only way you can mess up. Bike is extremely quiet and very sturdy, as long as you tighten all of the adjustment knobs. So, I'm happy with the purchase. I wouldn't be surprised if it goes lower, though, as Best Buy doesn't appear to be selling out at this price point.

Fair enough. Of the 69 reviews for the EX-4s+ their were 23 one star, and of them about 5 saying bluetooth was the problem. Luckily its Costco so if it fails in a couple months or a year it will be all good. I'll take a chance. Just another option for people.

Thanks just bought one. Was thinking about the bow flex velocore at $800, but that's looks like it takes a lot of space.

A couple of tips from a six month user. I bought a second heart rate monitor so there wouldn't be any excuses about it being out of battery when it was time to work out. Coospo branded ones that can be found on amazon are most likely the exact brand that comes with the bike. I bought a couple of kids camelbak water bottles so they woudn't stick out too far. Kids water bottle was key for sizing. I searched for small water bottles or 12 oz water bottles and didn't get great results.

Sounds like you have a keeper. Unless she's just going to exercise the first couple weeks of the new year and then quit. If so then...

Oh no, she likes to keep the Size 2, 105 lbs thing going. She's an absolute smoke show and I have no idea what she saw in me!!
