Wow that worked! I will rep. you. In case the SD link above doesn't work, after you login as SmartSeed says, copy and paste this URL in your browser. https://tps.fidelity.com/tps-api/v1/redirect-to/turbo-tax-cd?fidelityContextCode=oltx
Then I logged into Intuit. It showed up as $105, but I did the trick someone else suggested to add a random Intuit product to the cart, then delete it. Then I was able to check out for $5.41 (tax in TX).
i got so many messages about this. let me answer you all here once in for all. you need to go the beta view to see the offer.
I have the premier offer under the beta view, but when I click to the turbotax website it still gives me only $20 off, even though fidelity says premier for free w/ state. Called Fidelity, they know about the issue and said to wait until the new year as they are working on the problem.

If you're on good terms with your advisor may I suggest you send him an email mentioning that when you click on the link you don't get the free offer and ask if Fidelity is aware of the issue? It's entirely possible while fixing the "free for all customers" hole, they broke it for qualified customers.
I've only contacted the Advisor for Turbo Tax-related issues, and although they're super nice about it, I usually get follow-up (emails, phone calls, etc) asking to set up an appointment, which I ignore. I don't want to waste their time because I'm not interested in their services so I'll probably just wait until Feb/Mar and if it still hasn't been fixed, then I'll contact the Advisor.
After selling the code and if you delay the filing, then you may end up paying for e-file if the key travels around, if you know what I mean. lol
I believe I already addressed this point earlier, but that is incorrect. Turbotax uses the key for product installs. Each installed machine can do five e-files. Not sure what happens if you try to e-file a sixth return on the same machine, since it doesn't ask for the key if you uninstall and reinstall.
My guess is the supply of codes got depleted. Fidelity will have to assess and resupply if they choose to (after fixing the loophole of course)
I disagree. They had added a new landing page which nicely explained the free offer for online and $5 download. Once the link to that page got shared and they found out that anyone with a Fidelity account could get it for free, that page was removed. You now go back to the default landing page that it used to go to. I'm thinking that they need to come up with a new approach that is secure before putting it back.

H&R Block uses the key for e-files, I believe.
I know HRB uses key for e-files and assumed that's what TurboTax will do too. But, it's crazy if TurboTax has this loophole which allows you to e-file from any number of machines with one key.
If what you are saying is true, then I can hand over the key to the SD thread and anyone can use it. If that is the case, then it's a big time bug!

Random Data point I discovered through testing Premier codes:
If the first user that installed and activated a premier key, and then paid $15 to upgrade to Home and Business, the next 4 activations of that key on other computers will also give you Home and Business, but for free. The more you know!
But if User 1 and 2 activated it and didn't upgrade, they will stay as premier, and then if User 3 upgrades, only user 4 and 5 will get free automatic home and biz, User 1 and 2 will not auto upgrade to home and biz.

It's not a bug, it's how it works. And you can only use the key to install on five different machines. And of course, sharing/selling the key is illegal, but don't let that get in your way.

That's interesting. I wonder if user 1 or 2 uninstalled and reinstalled, they'd end up with H&B again?
Anyone call Intuit to see if they're working on fixing it?
The fix has to be driven by Fidelity - after all it's Fidelity which wants to make this available to its customers. If it is not working Fidelity tells Intuit that and between the two it gets fixed.

I feel like it wouldnt work, because if they uninstalled, they might need to use the key to activate again, and the key already ran out of activations. But User 1 and 2 dont want to test it out so i guess we will never know
My $10 Chase Turbotax Offer redeemed without using the direct link so a $5 money maker. I did upgrade to H&B so including the Chase Offer, it's only cost me $10 for the H&B. What a deal.
