For select Fidelity customers, Turbotax Premier is free (typically $69).

Go to your Accounts Summary page. If eligible, you will see a box titled "Get TurboTax Premier free" on the right side towards the bottom of the page with a link to TurboTax

Download version of TurboTax Premier is also available for $5.
Follow the Fidelity link to get to TurboTax website. At the top of the screen there is a drop down menu under 'Do it Yourself' >> "Doing your taxes with a CD/Download" and you should be able to see the download option for Premier.

Then I logged into Intuit. It showed up as $105, but I did the trick someone else suggested to add a random Intuit product to the cart, then delete it. Then I was able to check out for $5.41 (tax in TX).

I have the premier offer under the beta view, but when I click to the turbotax website it still gives me only $20 off, even though fidelity says premier for free w/ state. Called Fidelity, they know about the issue and said to wait until the new year as they are working on the problem.

I'm pretty sure that reinstalling on the same machine does not count as a new install..

From their license agreement (https://turbotax.intuit.com/corp/...esktop.jsp), which also says that sharing the code is illegal (as if anyone cares):

In addition to the license to Software in the Section A Terms, you agree that you may only: (i) install and use a copy of the Software on up to five (5) computers owned by you (at home or at work);

It also explains why a single upgrade works for all copies, since they're all supposedly being used by the same person.

How much does the Deluxe to Premier upgrade cost? I read that the Premier to Home and Business is $15. Trying to figure out if there's a method to use multiple chase cards to buy Deluxe and upgrade to Home and Business while giving Intuit less money (assuming that Intuit takes a hit on the credit card coupons, not chase).

It's marked as expired because it's currently not working. SD doesn't have a "temporarily dead" setting. I'm sure that they will work on it once people are back from vacation this week. And to be honest, it's as much TurboTax that has to work on it.

Likely $25, same as the difference in price on their website.

I don't know if it's worth it buying a $70 deluxe download from the turbotax site then spending $25 to upgrade it per MisterBill's info. Even if you do use two chase cards for it, that would only save you $20, bringing the total to $75. You can literally just buy premier download on amazon right now for $65 and that's without any sale going on.

edit: brain fart moment by me, i forgot about turbotax.com/affiliate/chaseoffer22
So that's $34 for deluxe, $25 for upgrade, using 2 chase cards save $20, bringing it to $39, pretty nice imo

So, deluxe to premiere is $10 in app?

I.e. $34 deluxe via chase affiliate link,
$10 deluxe to premiere via in app upgrade with $10 back chase card
$15 premiere to home and business in app via 2nd chase $10 back =39?

I may have to try that today.

You're using online product pricing and making the assumption that you can upgrade the product the same way you can with the download version. I'm not sure that you can, in fact I'm pretty sure that you can't. The download version is much more expensive using the Chase link.
