Wow that worked! I will rep. you. In case the SD link above doesn't work, after you login as SmartSeed says, copy and paste this URL in your browser. https://tps.fidelity.com/tps-api/v1/redirect-to/turbo-tax-cd?fidelityContextCode=oltx
Then I logged into Intuit. It showed up as $105, but I did the trick someone else suggested to add a random Intuit product to the cart, then delete it. Then I was able to check out for $5.41 (tax in TX).
i got so many messages about this. let me answer you all here once in for all. you need to go the beta view to see the offer.
I have the premier offer under the beta view, but when I click to the turbotax website it still gives me only $20 off, even though fidelity says premier for free w/ state. Called Fidelity, they know about the issue and said to wait until the new year as they are working on the problem.

I need to do a joint federal filing using print and mail option (Not e-file). Anyone know if I have the option to print the federal taxes instead of e-filing with TurboTax if couple of my dependents don't have SSN?

The download version definitely allows printing. Not sure about online.
Sorry if this has been covered before, but is the online version charging anyone else for each state? I just finished my college kid's federal taxes. He earned hardly anything, but some in his home state and some in his college state. In the past, I could do both states online for free and file for free. This year, the system is telling me it's $39 per state. And when I look at my order history, I can see the state included the last two year, but not this year. So did something go wrong with my order?

States should still be free. Did you go to your cart or the section before File to "pay" for your return? You can do this before you're ready to file to get the price locked in. If it doesn't work, try going back in through the link at Fidelity. Other people have apparently seen this, but when I checked yesterday it was still showing free states.

Ok, thanks. Yes, I locked in the free Premier and have the "payment" receipt dated 12/18/22. And I specifically selected the online version for the free state filings.
When I click on file, it says:
We've prepared your Federal, State1 and State2 taxes for free
but when I click on State, it says:
Next up, state taxes. This part's quicker!
We'll check for tax breaks and laws unique to your state, and make sure your state info is accurate.
Additional $39 cost per state
I tried clicking through from Fidelity again. And still see the same thing. I went one more screen further than before and now see:
Let's start your state tax returns
Based on the information in your federal return, it looks like you'll need to file more than one state tax return. Don't worry, we'll walk you step by step through your state returns and get you every tax break you deserve. It's only $39* per state and e-filing is free!
And just to see what happens, I went all the way through. After completing one of the states, my only options
Filing both together is just an extra $39* Learn more
- I want to file federal and state together.
- Delete my completed state tax return. I only want to file my federal taxes with TurboTax.
If don't select either option and just try to print, it prompts me for payment before showing the forms.

I've seen other people discuss this problem on BH. I suggest giving it a week, and hopefully it will be fixed. Or contact TurboTax CS, if you are up to it and have time to kill.

Thank you. Hopefully, it resolves itself. I can give it some time.
when I click on fidelity link, it takes me to a page where it gives you two options:
1) Online (state additional)
2)CD/download (state included)
Is that the link posted here, which only has the discount, despite the claim that it shows the free offer when you qualify, or the free link found on your Portfolio page? If it's the former, then states are not included with the $20 off online order. If it's the link that shows you that it's free for online, you should notice that it says that states are $0.

When I was clicking around yesterday, that is what I saw as well. But when you click on the hyperlink for "state additional" the pop up says $0. However, as noted above, I'm currently seeing a charge for $39 per state.
Dang, already bought TurboTax as I didn't qualify in the past.
I clicked on the link at Fidelity and was redirected to Intuit's web site. It said I file Federal and State for free online or with a $5 download.
The normal TT allows for 5 free Federal online filings. But state is NOT FREE. The the cost varies by state. Will the $5 download allow me to file say California for free?
