Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

I gave up on t-force. Used the in app chat. Much faster.
Tried once in the morning, The agent didn't know about the promotion and after talking for about an hour, he says the document is still being produced and will let me know if I'm eligible. Trying another app chat agent now.

Do you have to have your device with you when you add the line? I'm at work and phone at home.
No. When they ask for IMEI just say you don't have the device with you and they'll skip that part and send you the SIM.

if I have extra sim card on hand, are they still going to charge the $35?
Yes. It's an activation fee, not a SIM card fee.

Just chatted via app and the rep stated my account was not eligible since I already have a free line promo and the the current promo is free line for only 12 months?

May try another rep later but I hope the promo is not only free for 12 months

Should just be 2022 BYOD Line P1. The $40 is how much the promo credit is, but that depends on what plan you're on, and will change. A Magenta Max 9+ Line account will get $40. A Magenta Max account with 2-8 lines will get $30. And different numbers for different plans. All should cover the cost of the line except taxes and fees if you're on a Tax Excluded (TE) plan.

It is not free for 12 months only. The terms say that you cannot cancel any lines for 12 months and if you do cancel any other line (say a paid line) you will end up paying for this new free line.

Magenta Max with 4 Paid, 5 Free and both T-Force and Messaging said it was a no-go for me. Not power mobile users and probably 4-5 years tenure with T-Mobile.

Yes, you are right. It was posted even on reddit with the $40 but like you said it varies on each line cost for your account. I am on Magenta so I would see it as $30 2022 BYOD Line P1 if all goes well.

I cancelled the home internet plan last night and returned the gateway through UPS. Asked T-Force on Twitter to see if I'm eligible two hours ago. Not heard back yet.
I did the same and eligible as per chat in mobile and got the line added. If the promotion drops afterwards, I will just cancel.
Now it is time to buy the T-mobile stocks before Q4 result as they will report higher net line addition and also Home Internet due to $25 promotion

SC grandfathered plan with 10 lines that includes 1 voice free line and 1 free 200mb tablet plan.

Told I'm not qualified.

Has anyone had luck having another agent double check? I went through chat and sometimes the person you get can be iffy.

I have One Plus plan with 8 lines currently. Not sure if I should even bother finding out with a chat rep who probably wouldn't know anything and screw my plan up. I believe I would have to move to a different plan to be eligible for 9+ lines
