Does anyone with a grandfathered plan (Select Choice FAM UNL TT 50) have any luck adding this free line? I've been told that my grandfathered plan have a max of 5 lines witch I already have.

Went in today 4 lines (Tmo Grandfathered plan) and was able to get the free line, no hassle. They offered me the home internet that is on sale $25/month for life. has a 14 day trial, no contract and can return anytime.

And as a bonus a $100 visa card after using it for 8 weeks. So a Win Win for me!

Only paid the $35 activation for the free line.

Called they said I'm eligible but I must purchase a device. That isn't really worth it I'd rather BYOD and they said no to that.

If you are on a plan that's already receiving a discount promotion then you are ineligible. That's what I was told by two different T-Mobile representatives

Was able to sign up with old Simple Choice plan. It did require me to give IMEI as the rep said they couldn't do without. I also could not get them to manually add the $35 activation fee refund. Sucks but oh well, free line is free (after taxes that is.)

I got the One plan with 9 lines (already got 5 free lines). Called Tmobile and asked them to add a line from this promotion but they have no idea what I'm talking about. Waiting for further instructions from the experts on this forum. Smilie

I have simple choice north america promo and have never once qualified for a free line promo. Otherwise with a regular simple choice plan I would have like 4 free lines by now.
Same here. The two of us are probably the majority still active. Never qualified for any free line offers. (Edit: Except for the free digits proxy line offer)

With legacy 15% corp discount I pay $59.50 for first two lines, and $17 for each additional (before taxes). This used to be a great deal, but now-a-days is just meh. I only keep things the way they are because of a bit of laziness.

The plan is BYOD. The representative gave you incorrect information. I'd call again

Was a little difficult as my rep wasn't able to find it. She put me on hold and found it, but I had a few issues on my account and she called me back and did a few work around and was able to apply the promotion to my account. .$: was top notch, glad I was able to get a free line.

Just confirm with TMO chat via iMessage. It is available on any and every plan. Agent stated the offer is only available if the account is eligible and via chat or call.

I have TMO One Plan.
