Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

I was on magenta 1.0, 8 lines, 4 of them being free. total bill ~165$/month.

Called in and the rep said I am eligible for the free line but need to change rate plan to magenta which allows 9+ lines, but my rate plan cost would not change.

Paid the one time $35 for the new line, and I check online and my rate is $310/month! Eeeeek, hope the system will resolve itself...... Mad

They confirmed with me a few years ago that this was valid, then they charged me and i fought with them for months.. Still ended up losing... and this happened with more than one promise that they made.

What's the best way to contact T-Force? I called 611, and was on hold for 35 minutes, and the rep I have is taking more than 30 minutes to "find more information" about the promo. Wtf.

I have One Plus plan with 8 lines currently. Not sure if I should even bother finding out with a chat rep who probably wouldn't know anything and screw my plan up. I believe I would have to move to a different plan to be eligible for 9+ lines
My situation is the same as yours. I have an old One plan that only allows up to 8 lines - and I have 8. I think most reps don't know the nuances of adding a 9th line to a plan that caps at 8, so they won't know all the problems that can happen. A friend unknowingly did that on his One plan a while ago to take advantage of a free line. Well, the rep will add that 9th free line for you, but they will change your plan to the most current plan (it was a Magneta, One no longer exists for new accts) that allows 9+ lines. I don't know if the rep does it manually to push the free line thru, or if the system automatically does it. Anyway, he lost **all** his acct promos when his One plan got switched to Magenta, including Kickback. It took him months to try to get everything back - getting Kickback restored was particularly difficult. Not sure if it's fixed now, I don't ever bring up T-Mobile with him!

So I won't be trying to add a 9th line, the headaches just aren't worth it.

Are there any rules if we add this line today and removed any prior paid lines later?
Previous free line promos you can't cancel any lines on your account for 12mo. It's a way for them to keep their line count up and reduce churn.

Also, a 90 day lookback applies, so if you cancelled any lines in the last 90 days you have to reinstate those to add the free lin,.
