Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

The T-Mobile chat rep told me that the offer is good today only. So there maybe some truth to that.

My situation is the same as yours. I have an old One plan that only allows up to 8 lines - and I have 8. I think most reps don't know the nuances of adding a 9th line to a plan that caps at 8, so they won't know all the problems that can happen. A friend unknowingly did that on his One plan a while ago to take advantage of a free line. Well, the rep will add that 9th free line for you, but they will change your plan to the most current plan (it was a Magneta, One no longer exists for new accts) that allows 9+ lines. I don't know if the rep does it manually to push the free line thru, or if the system automatically does it. Anyway, he lost **all** his acct promos when his One plan got switched to Magenta, including Kickback. It took him months to try to get everything back - getting Kickback restored was particularly difficult. Not sure if it's fixed now, I don't ever bring up T-Mobile with him!

So I won't be trying to add a 9th line, the headaches just aren't worth it.
The rep you got didn't know what s/he was doing. I was in the one plan with a max of 8 lines and upgraded to a one plan that allow up to 12 lines. All the discounts carried over.

You might be able to cancel some of the paid lines, but not all (i.e. main line). If I remember correctly, you also won't be able to move a number from a paid to free line
I was told by T-Mo chat to keep two paid lines active after 90 days and can keep free line and can also cancel remaining paid lines after 90 days

I chatted with them and before I could tell the guy what I was chatting about he told me I qualify. I have Magenta with now 12 lines (5 free) + 2 digits lines and a hookup. I save way more than I pay.

I'm on simple choice promo with two free lines from previous line on us deals.

I chatted with a rep via the app. He initially told me I was ineligible because I wasn't on essentials, magenta or magenta max. I told him I've seen others on simple choice receive the free line. He said he'll talk with his supervisor. Came back and said I'm eligible and added the free line.

Hi The customer service agent said she cannot waive that $35 fee but here is what I did - I requested her if she can credit that $35 to my current bill (I told her earlier T-mobile agents used to give this amount as credit if they cannot waive it). She said she will try and she credited this amount to my current bill. I checked and the amount credited to the current bill (Evened out). They usually do since they want positive feedback
