Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

oh interesting. I am on magenta with 8 lines and the rep told me I would not lose insider or any other promos when I move to 9-12 lines. I bailed because I wasn't confident about that... the rep used lots of bs canned phrases and smiley faces
I was told the same way, that I needed to move to an upgrade Magenta Max 9-12 Lines. Confirmed several times if my discounts would stay as well as pricing would the stay the same, the rep said yes.
I took a lot of screenshots and will make sure I don't have to pay any additional monthly payment, aside from the one-time $35 charge. We'll see...

I'm on a tmo one plus plan with 8 lines, 20% insider and kickback. I qualified but the rep told me I would move to 9-12 lines to get the free line but I would lose my kickback and insider so it wasn't worth it for me.
Check with another rep. There is a tmobile one for 9-12 which i currently have max at 12 lines. Giving that i migrate to 9-12 lines 2-3 years ago.

Yeah I do wonder if it would auto-upgrade with my Simple Choice plan if I waited longer. All the reps I spoke to said that the unlimited "upgrade" was a limited time grandfathered promo for certain Simple Choice like yours with 10gb. The way they put it is that they will not do that anymore for any new lines you add, so new lines will be what your base line has.
I had to call and get the 'upgrade' removed. Never accepted the auto upgrade and for how we use the lines it's actually a downgrade (we can tether and stream music and video without using data - no so with the 'upgrade')

Anyway, just added another free line - $16 per line including tax on our grandfathered plan (7 lines).

I've been a T-Mobile customer for less than a year on the business plan with 3 paid and 1 free line and I qualified.

Sounds like a very similar story to me. Maybe we had the same Rep! HA. I followed up with CHAT on the app, and they confirmed the same story that pricing would not increase. I saved screenshots, and went for it.

Ah so you stuck with the 10gb plan but with the benefit of unlimited tethering? Sounds like a pretty sweet deal Smilie

I am on Tmobile Essential plan. Called twice, both reps didn't even know what I was talking about. Anyone on that plan able to get it?

The rep interpreted the 12 month restriction incorrectly.
Per their documentation:
"12 month term requirement. Meaning customer cannot cancel lines within 12 months or credit will discontinue"
Thanks a lot for that clarification, I'm trying to chat again.

Since a bunch of online reps are giving the wrong information. I decided to go in store and check my eligibility there. They verified that my account (Magenta) was eligible. I told them that the phone I was putting it in was at home so they allowed me to just purchase the sim card ($35) and take it home. Quick and painless. Took about 10 minutes better than me waiting for an online rep. The manager at the store told me that she was not eligible for it and the other people who came in who had any type of discounted "rate" plan were also ineligible. So for those that were curious this was the info I got from my visit.

10 years with them and have been paying $55 every month for 1 line in simple select plan. Unimited talk and text and 5GB of data. Everytime I call for a free line they keep talking about the granrdfathered plan I'm in and how I'm saving a ton of money. Any plan they offer to add a line to my existing one is $100+tax. T-mobile sucks big time. Not sure how you guys get so many lines paying less.

I tried 3 different reps throughout the day. Denied all 3 times. I told the last rep I was probably going to terminate (which was true) because Spectrum has a very good promo going on. So I sent them a screenshot of the promo. I was really hoping they would come back and offer that free line because I'm gonna need it next year for my daughter. Instread they offered a 20% discount off my bill. Pressed my luck for 25% percent but they said 20% was the max. Confirmed it's a lifetime discount as long as I don't cancel a line.

This was all done through the app chat.
