Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

Right. I gave them this code in the chat -> "2022 BYOD Line P1"
Yeah, you gave them the right one but they checked your account using the wrong one, ie try calling again and checking again.

My account was eligible and got the promotion. Have been with T-mobile for ~5 months. Have two paid Magenta Max lines, with a buy two get one free line. Also have insider discount. Talked to Tforce rep and they said I was eligible. Originally said they had to set up the line with $35 device connection fee. A little later sent another message that said they did some research and told me I could do it online myself for no fee and it would automatically apply aftwerwards. I went ahead and did it and within an hour or so got a text about the promotion and I already see it in my account.

FWIW, I saw someone mention cancelling home internet in the last year disqualifies you from the promotion... this may be the case, but I did cancel home internet this year, but it was just before I created this account (they were separate accounts under same name).

For those of you with grandfathered simple choice (4 lines for $100) family plans that are eligible for this free line promo, did anyone happen to ask whether taxes/fees are included? I've added several free lines in the past, all of which do not include taxes/fees. When I called 611, the rep confirmed that my simple choice plan is eligible for the free line promo and confidently assured me taxes/fees are indeed included for this particular promo. Given the fact that all my other free lines from previous years do not include taxes/fees, I am a bit skeptical that it's actually included. I asked for something in writing and the best she said she could do is notate my account.
If your core plan does not have taxes included nor will the free line.

The way you wrote it, makes it incorrect...read it. Try using a comma?

Trying the app chat now (talking with "Genesis"). I was told my account is not *yet* eligible but that may change. Not sure how much stock to put in that, but it's hopeful, I suppose?

I used the T-Mobile app representative chat. Told them I wanted to see if my plan qualified for the 2022 BYOD Line P1 promotion for adding a line for free with credits. I was connected with Navdeep. Navdeep said my plan did not qualify for the promotion but they offered me the 20% off my complete bill for adding an additional line.

20% all? That's a pretty sweet deal if the discount is on your entire account if you have multiple paid lines.

Is there any downside to adding a free line that we aren't going to use anytime soon?
no... I have 1 extra sim sitting there unused for past year or whenever that 2021 LOU offer was.

No clue if it will be included or not but here's the first part of the email they sent me after I signed up for this offer:

"Thanks for choosing T-Mobile!

Your Service Agreement:

You will be charged a monthly Regulatory Programs ("RPF") & Telco Recovery Fee ("TRF") (not a government required tax or charge) totaling $3.49 for Voice Lines and $1.40 for Mobile Internet Lines ("MI") (subject to change without notice; plus tax). Of the $3.49 total charge for voice lines, $0.50 is applied to the RPF and $2.99 is applied to the TRF. For MI lines $0.12 is applied to the RPF and $1.28 is applied to the TRF. These fees may not apply to certain data devices/services. International rates and roaming charges may apply. Certain rates are subject to change at any time. Your first service cycle may start several days after your activation. If you have a device or accessory under one of our device programs, refer to your agreement for the specific terms and conditions of that program."

Says there will be taxes. I'm on the simple choice North America 10gb plan that was originally 4 lines for 100 I believe

How are you going to resolve the issue? Are you going to remove this new line soon or ask them to add data plan? Thanks for helping out!
