Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

1 QUESTION - ARE YOU FROM US OR NOT?

I am from the sales department. If you got the phone from T-Mobile, We'll check if they can replace the phone for you
just a second please

FROM US OR NOT?

I DON'T CARE WHAT DEPARTMENT YOU ARE "FROM"

I have the 55+ two line $70 plan and I was told it wasn't available and he couldn't find the promo but he said he will give me 20% off my existing plan. I'll see if this happens when my auto pay hits on the 19th

Can the line be data only? I'd put it on a spare phone for now and might eventually change over to a cellular capable ipad
This is my same question. I don't need another phone but a go anywhere iPad would be nice.

I contacted tmobile support via the in app chat which after a minute I received a phone call from a customer specialist.
After verifying my information, I told them that I heard about a promotion that if I bring my own device I get a line for free, they checked my account and said I was eligible. The customer rep was quite excited because they said that it's pretty rare? Anyway took 45 minutes total to get the new line setup.

I've been with T-Mobile for over 15 years, currently have 4 lines and the magenta max plan. All current 4 lines are paid so this is my first free line.

Magenta customer here with 2 paid lines and 2 freebies. I was able to call and get this promo added with no issues. With tax mine came out to be $37.63. Nice to know that when my youngest is old enough to have a phone, we already have his line locked up and ready for him.

It too about 30 minutes from start to finish, the only reason it took that long was because my rep was adamant to know what phone I would be bringing in for the new line.

I did it tonight. I did this for a T-Mobile One with 11 lines. There was no problem adding line 12 for free.

So the question is like me I see several people on here with the old one plan with the Plus promo, kickback, other promos with the max of eight lines. Has anyone actually decide to go ahead and take the risk and plunge and upgrade sock codes to allow the nine plus lines?

I've seen reports on Reddit of people doing it today. All their existing free lines/discounts have temporarily disappeared, but supposedly will reappear in a few days according to folks on there.

I have a magenta max plan that comes with three plans that I currently use 2. I want to add my mom at a later date but would still like the 4th line. If I add another now will be the free line or just the 3rd line?

So it's possible to add this free line and remove an existing line that's incurring a monthly fee? And not screw anything up?

No clue if it will be included or not but here's the first part of the email they sent me after I signed up for this offer:

"Thanks for choosing T-Mobile!

Your Service Agreement:

You will be charged a monthly Regulatory Programs ("RPF") & Telco Recovery Fee ("TRF") (not a government required tax or charge) totaling $3.49 for Voice Lines and $1.40 for Mobile Internet Lines ("MI") (subject to change without notice; plus tax). Of the $3.49 total charge for voice lines, $0.50 is applied to the RPF and $2.99 is applied to the TRF. For MI lines $0.12 is applied to the RPF and $1.28 is applied to the TRF. These fees may not apply to certain data devices/services. International rates and roaming charges may apply. Certain rates are subject to change at any time. Your first service cycle may start several days after your activation. If you have a device or accessory under one of our device programs, refer to your agreement for the specific terms and conditions of that program."

Says there will be taxes. I'm on the simple choice North America 10gb plan that was originally 4 lines for 100 I believe
Like some of the previous posters have mentioned, free lines on Simple Choice plans will get taxed those regulatory fees, and more recently like earlier this year, the fees were upped a fair amount. Not sure how the batzmaru got those waived, but you can easily find if you are charged taxes and fees at the bottom of your bill where it will break down the taxes and fees per line. On average each of these "free" lines tax and fees are about $5-6/month, not bad for an extra line but not truly free. Speaking only for Simple Choice plans. I know some newer plans like Magenta may cover those additional fees if you add a line.
