Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

It could take up to two billing cycles for the discount to show up. They'll retro the credit though if you end up paying for it the first cycle.
That's the official word. But everyone sees the discount pretty instantly once the line shows up. If you don't see it after a day or so I would highly suspect it'll show up after a billing cycle or two.

I would try again today. Most likely will be a different rep. After saying hello, I waited for them to ask me what I need help with and I just said "I need help with 2022 BYOD Line P1 promotion" and they said one moment let me check and said I qualified.

I have another free line from 2021 and a half off line from 2021.

So yes, try again with another rep. These free-line deals can end anytime.
Thank you for the insight. Will try again. I was hesitant since rep from T-Mo app chat and 611 call said exact same thing and counter offer.

Can we port a number to the new free line?
I asked this question, and they said yes. The store rep said I could change the number after setup or port in another number to replace the one they assigned to the free line.

took 18 hours for mine to show up, which was this morning after completing the process through chat yesterday.
Man it's been 20 hours. Nothing has shown up on my account and my sim is not shipping out.

PSA for those with kickbacks for using low data:

If you have a phone with dual sim (2 sim slots or 1 Sim + 1 eSim) get a free line, then use this or any previous free lines in the same phone. Have the data be used using the free line so your paid/kickback line never uses any data and you always get a kickback for it.
Good idea but I don't have any dual SIM phones. In fact, I've been looking for a cheap new phone (not for playing games or running the newest apps) for $100 or less. All I can find are these Tracfone or HSN promos which require a prepaid plan and then unlocking in 2-6 months. I miss the days of $100 unlocked Motorola Play phones on Amazon or Motorola.

That said, I have more lines than people using them. I have 2 paid lines with a low data cap and kickback. My other free lines are unlimited data. My solution is we use the SIMs with the free lines for everything and only use the 2 paid lines when necessary, such as T-Mo Tuesdays.

I never heard about any activity requirements on any of these lines, so AFAIK you can not use certain lines at all for months.

Try chat on the computer, just worked for me on ONE Plan.
Chat via TForce on Facebook or Twitter? Or is there another way to chat on the computer to a T-Mo agent?

every single time when TMO has free line promo, the 55+ ONE plan always have people saying they are getting it,
but in the end, it's always either a mistake or they all ended up being charged later on.
very very few got lucky to get the free line added and sticked.
i even contacted the exclusive leader team, the best they could offer is add a line and for free for a year LOL
Good to know. They told me it would be $30 to add a line! No thank you!

Was told I'm eligible, but I can't seem to figure out how to add a line without being charged? I'm new at this free line thing. Can someone direct me to how to do this in account and make sure it's credited?

I'm old-fashioned, I fired up chrome and went to tmobile.com clicked contact us and chatted away.

That's how I should've done it. I logged into tmobile.com as suggested to see if it said if I qualify for this promo, and I couldn't find any info. I looked for a chat option but couldn't find it. So I used the T-Mo app because people posted wait times were short.

Our communication options with T-Mo are:
- Call 611 or 800 number
- Chat with T-Mo app on a phone
- Chat with TForce via Facebook or Twitter
- Chat via tmobile.com

What are the pros and cons of each method for a promo like this when you know T-Mo is really busy?

What did you say to chat when you contacted?

If you convert to 9 lines it will be 40x9 = $360 - $40(free line) -$40(auto pay) = $280 . Experts here can correct me if i am wrong. I still think you should go ahead and do it.
So for the Magenta Max 9-12 plan
no autopay : $400
with autopay : $360

I'm currently paying $320 for 8 lines with autopay on the Magenta Max family plan

Upgrading to a 9-12 plan will cost me $360 with autopay - $30 free line credit effectively making it a $10 line instead of a free line since it will cost $330/month. This is all according to the rep.
