I tried the app chat (first time ever) and it took about 5 minutes for an agent. I hoped they would waive the $35 fee when I complained about how new Internet customers pay $25 for life but I'm stuck at $50. No dice. I guess I'm lucky to qualify for the promo at all.

I thought about going to a T-Mo store a couple miles away, but my guess is they will be super crowded and won't waive the $35 fee either. It sounds like the stores do give SIMs for free?

I already had an extra SIM T-Mo sent me a couple years ago, but next time I'll need another SIM.

If this thread hadn't been posted, as usual I would've never known about this.

I did qualify and had the rep add the line to my account yesterday. The SIM card also has shipped. But for some reason I still do not see the discounts for that line. Does it take some time?

Note: I do see that additional line online but without the discount

It took my line and discount 7 hours to show up yesterday, and I was one of the earlier ones to get my order in.
Have some patience. Their system is probably overwhelmed with new orders and it'll take longer to clear the backlog.
Update: The TMO app is now showing a 3rd voice line on our account. It's a generic device and has a random phone number attached to it.

T-Mobile One, existing four lines with kickbacks since 2016 did qualify Called, connected within 7 mins to CS and asked if eligible. Total time less than 30 mins to sign-up and pay the activation fee.

I just signed up 4 lines yesterday for Magenta Max with insider code. I tried chatting but not eligible. Not really surprised since we just became Tmobile customers yesterday.

Is there a way to save a transcript of the T-Mobile app chat into a text file just in case there are any problems down the road once the next bill comes?

It could take up to two billing cycles for the discount to show up. They'll retro the credit though if you end up paying for it the first cycle.

"The available promotion for you is
Buy One Voice Line & Get One Free on Existing Magenta MAX 55+, Magenta MAX First Responder, & Magenta MAX Military with 2+ paid lines

I have checked your account and is not available on your account and the offers has many factors and eligibility criteria and one of that is the customers tenures as your account is new so you need to wit for this offer and it also depends on the credit limit.

The best offer I have suggested you is Buy One Voice Line & Get One Free on Existing Magenta MAX 55+, Magenta MAX First Responder, & Magenta MAX Military with 2+ paid lines"

I was able to get the free line. I have the magenta plan, i switched 2 years ago from grandfather simple choice plan, so i can get another free voice line. Now, I have 5 paying lines and 2 free lines, with this now 3 free lines. I use to have two free data lines, which they wouldnt let me keep. But I am okay with that now... Need to keep adding my free lines, and eventually try to drop my paying lines.. LOL
