Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

Maybe you are onto something. I'm on a magenta Max with 2 paid + 1 free line. I recently added an Apple Watch line for my kid. I was not eligible for this free line promo now.
Yep this has to be the reason. The watch will be paid off around May. I'm shutting that data line down immediately after. This is BS

I've seen reports on Reddit of people doing it today. All their existing free lines/discounts have temporarily disappeared, but supposedly will reappear in a few days according to folks on there.
I'm in the same boat and called 611 today. They said my promos are in the system; give the system a couple of days to update.

After being denied yesterday, I tried again today and got it. I pointed out the promotion wasn't available online, so I had to contact support and asked if the $35 fee could be applied back to my bill. Rep agreed, but at the end said he couldn't do it.

I'll wait for the SIM and try again Wink

Yes, it is possible to add a new line by yourself on the web browser. Click shop -> add a new line -> bring your own device.
But adding a new line by yourself, one is taking a chance because one will not know if they qualify for this deal.
I did that, but says $30 will be added to your account. I chatted with rep and they said my account was eligible.

Can you do this (remove a paid line) if it has a # you want to keep?
Yes. I have done this. Though T-mobile reps will not outwardly tell you the method, I was fortunate to talk to a rep in a T-Mobile store who helped me do it. Say you have a Free line and a paid line. You want the number on the paid line that you want to transfer it to the spare free line that you have in the account. Assuming you have already had the free line for a year, you are now eligible to drop that paid line. You will have to port out that paid line to a place holder third party provider ( post paid or pre paid which allows you port in and port out). The paid line gets automatically dropped when you port out. Then while porting in you call T-Mobile and tell them to overlay the number that you ported out on the free line that you already have in the account. I have done this with 2 lines in my account.

It's not based on your credit line. 12 lines is the max per account. A store told me this.
Understood. I thought it was based on credit line. Still, no issues. I will end up giving away 2 free lines to family members for $20/month and lower my bill indirectly.

They credited back the $35 that they charged you?

Shit I just added my Ultra onto cellular, going to suck if that's what disqualifies me.

great advise here - how long have you waited before porting in your original number back on one of the free lines? 1 month or 3 months?
