Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

They credited back the $35 that they charged you?
It's a credit to your account - so next months bill will be $35 less.

Chatted with Rep and he told me to go ahead with online order. Though I saw online it was $0 for DCC but $20 per month. Rep told me to go ahead and save the chat as proof that you will get free line and if he ordered for me then he would not be able to make DOC $0. Should I be worried that I might be stuck with $20 per month line?

I did that, but says $30 will be added to your account. I chatted with rep and they said my account was eligible.
Yes, so you have to ignore that $30 message when buying online yourself. Once you add the line, you will get the promotion code text message and the $30 will be removed.

Did Tmobile swap anyone else to Tmobile One Military Business from Tmobile One Business plan?

The lady on the phone told me "don't worry you will just need to send in your documents" ... I've never been in the military. They told me they couldn't swap me to my old plan since I was grandfathered in and that they will keep searching for a plan that will get me back to my original price.

Got it this morning on Magenta with Hookup discount with 2 paid lines and 7 (now 8) free lines. Just keeps getting more ridiculous, but I'm not going to complain.

Just chatted with CSR on T-mobile app. I have Simple Choice Family Match plan 10SCFM4 and I'm not eligible

This is the downside of sticking with SC. Not eligible for most promos. But it's not like I have a choice, switching to the latest plan would more than double my monthly plan cost because all the promos, like inside hookup is only for new subscribers and requires port in from another non-Tmobile carrier. Oh well, until T-Mobile converts legacy SC plan to Magenta and let us keep out existing price, I'll continue to stick with SC forever

Yes. I have done this. Though T-mobile reps will not outwardly tell you the method I was fortunate to talk to a rep in T-Mobile store who helped me to do it. Say you have a Free line and a paid line. You want the number on the paid line that you want to transfer it to the spare free line that you have in the account. Assuming you have already had the free line for a year, you are now eligible to drop that paid line. You will have to port out that paid line to a place holder third party provider ( post paid or pre paid which allows you port in and port out). The paid line gets automatically dropped when you port out. Then while porting in you call T-Mobile and tell them to overlay the number that you ported out on the free line that you already have in the account. I have done this with 2 lines in my account.
This is literally just a basic number port. I'm not sure why you would get a rep that's trying to keep it a secret, it's common knowledge in the phone world.
The really tricky one is trying to port out a number without canceling a line. I'm on a 4lines for 3 plan with 2 free add a lines. I can't cancel a line without losing two so hopefully no one on my plan wants to port out at some point haha.

my showed up this morning after yesterday ordered at 1pm.. They assigned me a 804 area code number. is there a way to get a local area code? if so how? please advise.. thank you..
Recommend contacting T-mobile either 611, via twitter/facebook or going into a store. They advised me I could change the number later if I didn't like it. You can only pick the area code though and not the actual number.

If you wanted more options, you could sign up for a google voice number on that line. Google gives you various choices for an area code so you can pick a number you like. You could then port this google voice to the free link (or keep it separate and just forward calls).

I signed up 4 lines on Magenta Max last week and yesterday I was able to add the free line.

Now $136 for 5 lines with Insider Promo
Where do you obtain an insider promo?

The word you are looking for is criteria
Criteria is typically a plural noun referring to standards on which a judgment can be made. Its singular is criterion, but evidence shows that criteria is frequently being used as a singular as well as a plural, much like data and agenda and their lesser-used singulars datum and agendum.

Get another CS. That's now how this promo works.
Thanks again!

I contacted CS by phone this time instead of chat and got it without having to change my plan.

He waived the activation fee too supposedly.

I heard the same thing yesterday, and I'm on the same SOC (10SCFM4) and got it today. I also have +2 free voice lines from a few years back.

I still have my 15% Corp discount, so I plan on keeping it for as long as I can.

I'd suggest trying back either later today (as the billing system updates?) or maybe tomorrow/Monday.

FWIW, I also have 0% faith I'm actually eligible for this promotion. I haven't been eligible for any free AAL promotions in quite awhile... and in fact, in a previous promotion where you could get a free AAL and free device, I signed up for it and had to fight it for months... eventually got the device waived (and kept it) and had to give the line up.

Of course! Chat and phone reps can be pretty incompetent. Just have to keep trying until you find a good one.
Or use T-Force, but their waits are horrendous at the moment.
