Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

According to the email I received I did place an order for another line. I have not received a notification that a Sim has shipped yet (ugh), nor do I see another line in my account.

I did get charged the $35.
They're probably swamped to fulfill orders due to this promo. Supposedly when the sim card ships you should be able to find out right away by looking at your online account with the new line and whether this promo is attached to it. Like I said I'll be following your lead 😉. Thanks

My bill cycle is coming up in a week so if I add the line before I should be able to find out for sure if I'm eligible. Will use an esim to save $35

Did anyone else get this in their email?

"You will be charged a monthly Regulatory Programs ("RPF") & Telco Recovery Fee ("TRF") (not a government required tax or charge) totaling $3.49 for Voice Lines and $1.40 for Mobile Internet Lines ("MI") (subject to change without notice; plus tax)."

They always charge taxes and fee for the free line.

Here is my current account setup:

Simple Choice (first 4 lines free)

Line 1 - Free Simple Choice
Line 2 - Free Simple Choice
Line 3 - Free Simple Choice
Line 4 - Free Simple Choice
Line 5 - $10/month add a line
Line 6 - $10/month add a line
Line 7 - Free 2020 Line on Us promotion
Line 8 - Free 2022 BYOD Line P1 promotion

If I'm understanding what others have said correctly I need to wait 12 months before I can port lines 5 and 6 elsewhere for a month to then port the numbers back into T-Mobile so those numbers will replace what's currently on Lines 7 and 8? If I do that prior to 12 months then I'll lose the promotion on Line 8 making it free?
You will lose the FREE line once you port over it. That is what a Tmobile rep told me before.

Do we need to add a promo code during checkout to get this working if doing via the website?

I was denied twice for the promo through tforce and app chat. I took the advise from reddit and just added the line myself through the app using an esim and the promo is showing on my account already In less than 5 minutes w/o paying the $35. I just hope it sticks now, if not I will just cancel the line.

I have been needing another line to keep my company's BYOD profiles and control off of my personal phone. Any ideas about what the best/cheapest phone would be with reasonable features and battery life for this use case?
Company phone that's just going to be needing long life? Motorola second hand. Or OnePlus 9/10T

You win the finesse T-Mobile game. Best I've ever seen. Been jealous of the $15 kick start x 2 plus free line but you win

Yes, it showed $20 to add a line and I didn't add any promo code. It just asked for my credit card even though the cost was $0 since the fee is waived online. Once I added the line using iphone esim I got the line showing on my account along with the promo code showing up within 5 min on my account.

So the whole account is free? only playing about $5 tax per line, like $40 per month? Aren't you suppose to keep 2 paid lines?

Yes, same issue happened to my new line. Rep told me it would be unlimited free data plan just like all my other lines, but he li*d.

The rep actually added a 6GB data plan to the new line which costs an additional $15/mo. I immediately called 611 and tried to sort it out. Luckily I was connected to a US-based rep this time, and after explaining the situation, the lady knew exactly what happened, and she was able to fix my data plan quickly. Now the new line has the unlimited data with $0/mo just like the rest of my lines in the existing Simple Choice family plan.
Sigh.. I guess I will call tomorrow. Wonder if chat is an option to fix it.

Still trying to confirm…can this free line be a tablet line? Somebody earlier in the thread said yes?!
