Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

Oh. You're right! I see it under the Bill & Pay > View Discount and Promotions and under service.

But it is not showing up under the account link yet.
Same not under account summary, usually it shows up here concurrently with text.

So did anyone else use this BYOD for a tablet line? I've seen a few people get it on this thread but I just was curious before I ask T-Mobile

I think what you laid out makes sense. But I ended up with $16 extra per month. Still a great value IMO.
Could that be a pro rated amount for the first month?

Yes. I got it for an old iPad I had laying around. My SIM card should arrive today.

So far two phone reps and two chat reps are now giving me nonsense saying you can take two billing cycles for the promo to apply so this is definitely not good. I added the line yesterday around 5:00 p.m. and the line showed up this morning on my account. unfortunately nowhere under any promotions on the account does it show the code at all and I haven't received any kind of text
.

Update: just got the text message saying "Congrats! You will receive your promotional service discount from T-Mobile as long as you maintain eligibility. View t-mo.co/activity for account details."

I'm on simple choice and activated online yesterday. I also wasn't charged the $35 activation fee.

I called and a rep added a line and ordered a physical sim for me at around 6pm CST yesterday. Today I see the new phone line as well as the promo added to my account. I have not received any email or notification that the sim has shipped yet.

Also, for those on MM (I am not sure which other plans), if you reach 9 voice lines, it switches over to a different system where the line charges and discounts are different. Depending on how many free lines you already have and what kind of free line promos they were (single free line promos are great, 2 lines on us are not as good), you may actually see your bill going down in price instead of the same.

refer to the MM plan calculator:

If you're not planning on making any charges to your plan or haven't made any changes that might disqualify you, take a chance and do it yourself online or in the app. If it doesn't sow up as promo, just cancel the new line

Same the line shows for me but no text or anything on the account. Reps all saying same bs, may take 2 billing cycles which is nonsense
