Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

False. I cancelled a line in October and did not have to reactivate it to get promo.
Just because the rep doesn't notice you recently cancelled a line doesn't mean you'll still get it. It's a systemic disqualification, not something the rep decides yes or no.

Are you saying that since I cancelled a line 60 days ago, even though the rep told me i qualify, and I was texted that I qualified for the promo, and my tmobile account now displays the "2022 BYOD Line P1", that I may still get disqualified for the promo?

Yup. The check doesn't happen immediately. Good luck though. It's similar to EIP promos being added immediately then dropping later if you don't actually trade in your old phone or you move to a disqualifying plan.

Yes you can call and port in but need to be clear to port into the existing line to just change the number and not port in to add a line. Triple check with the agent and it will work.

Call the Number transfer Center 24 hours a day / 7 days a week 1-877-789-3106
Have you tried this? Has anyone tried this and worked? I asked a T-mobile rep before and was told that I will lose the promo. Thanks!

Interesting.

I didn't think that was possible but if that happens, I suppose i have the messaging from the tmobile rep to confirm I was eligible and they should manually credit me every month, right?

You have 6 lines, but only pay for 2? How did you do that? Do the free lines expire?

I activated my new line using physical sim that was shipped on my iPhone. Is there a way I can convert this to esim?

Thanks.
You can call 611 or walk into a store and they will do it for you. I just did this today, it took about 5 min to setup and I got a notification on my phone to activate the eSIM less than 10 min later. After the eSIM activates, you can remove the physical SIM.

I ordered the physical sim about an hour ago. No text, and not showing up on my current promos.

Did I screw up and should I have ordered the esim? Or does it just take a little time?

Really nothing you can do now, but it's always best to do either esim or have some on hand you could of also done instore, but if the line shows up on your account you should be fine, deal supposedly thru 12/19 so just sit tight.

Did you get confirmation from T-Mobile before doing it online? Or did you get denied and tried your luck. I'm on simple choice too and was told no by T-Force, no by 611, and in-store even showed me my account didn't have the memo and showed me one that had it.

Only seen one post on reddit of someone on simple choice that also got denied but went ahead and did the esim method but hasn't after 6 hours or so gotten the promo to show up.

Kind of on the fence to try my luck, but don't want to miss out on future promos if I have to cancel this line.
The first rep on 611 said I was eligible but wouldn't waive the $35

The second rep on 611 said I was eligible, still wouldn't waive the $35 but also said I had to change my plan.

Both of them said I have to pay $35 or the promo wouldn't work. On the website it said $35 is waived so I just sent that route. I went through with it and didn't have to change my plan. I now have 6 lines that are included in the plan and 4 lines that are free.

If they showed you an account that has it and yours that doesn't have it, then it sounds risky. I wish I had more info for you. My gut says do it, worse case is you cancel it and can't do a promo until 90 days but that's about it.

Shows "estimated ship date 12/17-12/20"
Wonder if I should just add another line with eSim, just to be safe, then cancel the one that doesn't get the promo? And cancel both if neither get it?
Thoughts from my SD family?

Just keep an eye on the account for new phone line and keep tabs on sim order. As a last resort you can do it at night on 19th
