Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

Ask them to move you to One Plus 9-12. I just got that done on this promo, i was maxed at 8 voice lines previously.
A new Twitter support rep said they could allow a ninth line, maybe that's what they changed. Just found a pile of SIM cards... Not sure if they're for previous line on us promos that I haven't plugged into a phone yet, or something else. 🤔

Another data point. I am interpreting it to be unsuccessful but would like some feedback from the experts.
- On Magenta Max - 2 paid lines with one free. Monthly cost - $112 (after insider discount)
- Added a new line last night - self service online, esim
- congratulations text received this morning about 12 hours later, although the promo showed up under "Services Promos" within five minutes of activating the esim.
- The promo shows up as "2022 BYOD Line P1". I have noticed that others reported this promo as "$30 2022 BYOD Line P1". In my case "$30" is missing.
- Monthly plan cost has gone up by $24, from $112 to $136. So, basically $30 for the new line less 20% insider discount on new line ($6) to get to the $24 increase.
- Under my "Plan details" I see a new "$6 2022 T-Mobile Insider P7 (Additional Lines)" instead of the $30 discount which I would have expected to see for this line.

Any recommendations? Should I call and cancel the new line? Thank you.
Same plan for me and similar results although I was checking my account the whole time and noticed the following --

I added the line via esim.. I got the "congrats" text about 15 minutes after activating the line. During that 15 minutes, I noticed my account change like this:
1. Cost detail went up by $35 (normal)
2. Cost detail went back to what it was originally ($112) but it also showed the "$30 2022 BYOD Line P1" in my cost detail at that time.
3. Cost detail went back up to ~$136 and now shows the "$6 2022 TMobile Insider P7"
4. The "2022 BYOD Line P1" has shown in the promos list for the new line the whole time.

So I would say I have had the same experience except what I noticed mentioned above. Several posts on reddit saying it should adjust back down after a few hours so maybe check it later today.

I had an old T Mobile ONE plan, which had a limit on free lines. That prevented me from adding a free line under this promotion, although my account was eligible.

The agent 'confirmed' that all my free line discounts would carry over to a MAGENTA plan, and I could add the current promotion to my plan.

He assured me that my promotions would carry over - but it would take a few days to do so.

So now, I am nervously waiting to see the promotions carry over to a MAGENTA plan.

If all goes as expected, I will have the same monthly billing as in my older account.

Be careful and make sure they are moving you to the appropriate ONE plan. It's not simply just adding a line and you are good.

When I switched a while back to the ONE plan 8max line that allowed promos, I remember it took a bit because the rep had to go line by line to ensure all promos and discounts transferred over.

When did your bill go back down with the BYOD promo? I see it in my promo page but not in my bill estimation/total

Remember everyone, this particular retarded free line promo roll-out by T-Mobile ends on the 19th. So get in before the promo window is closed. Having a physical new (un-used) SIM on hand and/or a Phone with eSIM capabilities is KEY in executing this 2022 BYOD Line P1 promo through any channel.

I was able to get the one plus promo added but couldn't get the $35 credited.

I answered that in my post above. It happened during that 15 minutes between activating the line and getting the congrats text, and then it reverted back.

Anybody on the One Plus promo plan that added this free line has the "plus" promo added as well?

Unless you were refreshing your account the whole time you may have just not noticed it. The question is will it flip back for all of us in the next couple days. Like I mentioned I see some posts on Reddit in a similar situation with Magenta Max accounts which already had the free line promo who are waiting on their bill details to update.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Please post if and when you see the cost detail go back down to $112 subsequent to your bullet 3 above. I will also report back if I see any change. Thanks.

Reps are often wrong.
I have 4 free lines and I never used the number they assigned to me. I always ported in a number I got from Google Voice. No problems on the free line promo.
I'll try this after one year. Thanks!

My account is showing as adjusted back down to the correct amount $112 and the "$30 BYOD Line P1" under plan details, so it seems to be correct at least for now.

How long did it take for it to go back down to the correct amount? I received my SIM card yesterday and I see the promo under the service promo but not reflected under the account level.
