Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

Don't ever let them change your plan lol. Do you have your SOC code, doubt they'll put me on it with the discount but may try after this free line clears

I tried iMessage chat yesterday and I was told I was not eligible. Just now (20m ago), I added it anyway on the website using eSIM based on the other success messages on here. After activating the eSIM, I got a text message saying "Congrats! You will receive your promotional discount from T-Mobile as long as you maintain eligibility" and the new Line has the 2022 BYOD Line P1 promotion listed on the promotions account page. The bill still shows as being $20 higher for the moment, but I assume that will correct itself. I'm on SOC TM1TI2 (TMobile One). I have 2 other free lines on my account from 2020 promotions.

2h update: The account overview page now shows the promotional credit and my monthly bill is the same

this is probably your Paramount+ subscription expiring
Thank you for this! I added the free line and started my Paramount+ subscription 1 day apart so I assumed it had to do with the free line! Mystery solved

I made the mistake of ordering a physical sim instead of esim 3 days ago thinking I had time to figure out if I qualified. Anyways, I see on email and online that they shipped it and a new line was added. However, I see no note of promotion online on my account and I haven't yet received a text about a new line. I'm scheduled to receive the sim on the 21st.

At this point, after receiving no notification of any promo, should I assume I'm out of luck?

BTW, I'm on SC plan with government discount and have been told multiple times I'm not eligible but decided to try the order online method. Thanks!
I had a SIM card sent to me. If you look in your mobile app under "Bill"
Scroll all the way down to "View my discounts and promotions". Click on the "Service Promos" tab and then you should hopefully see that promo "2022 BYOD Line P1" on one of your lines.

It showed up sometime within 12 hours after I ordered. I didnt receive the shipping notice until next day.

Thanks for reminding me to look! I qualified for the promo and ordered a physical SIM yesterday. The promo didn't show up last night, but I just checked again and it's there now 👍

That is the Promo ID Name technically. She indeed is right in that the promos also have a promo number but we don't know it for this promo yet. For example you can go to this page and see the promo ID names and the number is under it where it says promo code:

https://www.t-mobile.com/offers/p...ffers-2022
Thanks for the clarification. But she was reading some internal code number or something. So I wasn't sure. Thanks.

I chatted both via the TMobile app and with TForce. Both said my amplified account is not currently allowed for the promotion.

Thanks, just checked. It's not there. That's a bummer. Never qualify for these things. It's been more than 48 hours since ordering.

Has anyone who has successfully had the promo code added in their account promotions ALSO seen the discount reflected in the monthly pricing yet? This seems to be the missing piece of the puzzle….

did you pull the trigger, from what I've been reading the plan is either expiring today or expired today..
Not yet, was waiting to see if anyone on my SOC had done it. I think I will just risk it and see what happens. Was kind of worried that if I have to cancel this line it would mess with the 2022 HINT P22 promo I just got for the $25 Home Internet but I just checked and my billing cycle end date already passed so I think that is unlikely to happen since the other promo was added on the previous billing cycle.

I think I'm in same boat. I've got the old sc 4gb 4 for 100 plan, and each extra line is $10. I added the free line last night using app and it would only add the line with extra $15/month 6gb addon. Now looks like the $10 portion is free but not the $15 addon. I plan to call in later today to see what they can do. Ideally they'll remove the $15 addon and give me some other free data package (like I have in my other free lines).
Same situation and now getting the run around over Twitter

After careful review I see now what's happening. You are on a grandfathered plan that provides unlimited calling and messaging, the data is limited at a cost. You previously had 3GB of data with SMHS for $10/month each line (lines 0578 AND 0043) On October 15, 2019 a promotion was released for select customers on our grandfathered plans such as yourself, where we upgraded the limited lines of select Simple Choice customers to unlimited high-speed data, which gave you unlimited high-speed data at no additional cost. That promo has ended and your 2 lines are locked in. Since the promo ended any new lines added to the account will have the normal limited data plan, which is the 6GB of data with SMHS for $15/month.

I do apologize for any information that wasn't clear. I am here to ensure I set everything straight (: You are correct, the line of service is indeed free. Now the thing is your plan doesn't include data, it is at a cost. If you look at your bill you will see a $10 charge for your 2 other lines as well for the data, the difference is you are getting the unlimited data for $10 since you were enrolled into a promo. With that promo ending 3 years ago, our new data plans are the 6GB for $15 instead of the original 3GB for $10. So you are getting double the data for only $5 more

I added through self service and I see the line and service promo code.

Now that I can see the line and my own device on the account, can I upgrade the device and grab a phone like pixel 7 for free using the 24 months credit?

Or will that cause issues with the new free line?

The rep I talked to was weird about the promo and all of it. Sort of didn't know about it and then said it's specifically targeted to certain customers

update: she just called me back and told me I was eligible! processed the order, said SIM card will be shipped! never judge a rep by their cover lol
Did you get a text saying you got it?
Does it show up on your "promotions" page? How about in your "account" page?
Or did the rep say it would show up when the Sim is shipped?

Asking because I ordered the physical sim Saturday evening, and have received nothing denoting anything either via shipped sim card or anything on my account.
