Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

Just a datapoint for anyone reading. We have a Magenta (not Max) plan with 2 paid lines and a free line. I chatted support twice and was told I wasn't eligible. Went online and added a line via eSim. A few minutes later and the line is on our account and the promo code "2022 BYOD Line P1" is listed under it.

The plan price shown in my account still reflects a $20 increase but since the promo code is there I'm hopeful the credit will pop in soon. If not I'll just cancel the line.

Right now it's "stuck" to my iPhone via eSim… anyone know if Tmo can transfer the line to another phone, physical sim, or something to get it off my phone so it's available for another device in the future?
Did just this on Magenta Plus after being told by TForce not eligible. Added new eSIM line. Said i was going to have to pay additional $30/month. Added. No promotion showing up. Logged out and back in after an hour and now it says 2022 BYOD Line P1 under promtions.

did you pull the trigger, from what I've been reading the plan is either expiring today or expired today..
Just tried it but today I'm getting an error message when I try to add the line, it is saying "Invalid User Role, you are not the primary account holder. Need the primary account holder to make upgrades or changes to this account".

I went to my profile and indeed my account is set as the primary account holder. Yesterday I wasn't getting that error message. I'm guessing T-mobile might be fixing the loophole or something.

Same situation and now getting the run around over Twitter
Man, they're being stingy with the data. I did app chat yesterday and rep told me they fixed it and said I'll see change before next billing cycle. I'll believe it when I see it. They did also give $15 Bill credit for the current month of $15 addon so that was nice...

Yeah, I get the feeling this promo is predetermined and has nothing to do with your plan. I have the same plan and I did the esim route and it's been 2 days and no promo notification via text or on my account

In the app, when you go to BILL>VIEW MY DISCOUNTS & PROMOTIONS>SERVICE PROMOS do you see 2022 BYOD Line P1?
Thanks for your reply. No I don't see it yet, but I was told it would not show up until tomorrow.

Did you get a text saying you got it?
Does it show up on your "promotions" page? How about in your "account" page?
Or did the rep say it would show up when the Sim is shipped?

Asking because I ordered the physical sim Saturday evening, and have received nothing denoting anything either via shipped sim card or anything on my account.
Nope nothing so far, now I'm nervous 😅

I'm on FUTTVN Simple Choice 2GB.. 2 lines + 3 free, $80 + tax = ~$100

First time I chatted on Facebook, I was denied. Then I went back to ask how much a new line would cost. They said they would be unable to add a line unless I switched plans.

Seems like FUTTVN has a max of 5 lines. So I guess I'm at the end of the road here. Or am I? Big Grin

Worked for me! Magenta max with insider discount. 3 paid lines and now 5 free lines. Able to see the new free line under service promos. 8 lines on magenta max for $136. People have better deals, but I'm happy with it.

I'm on FUTTVN as well but only had 2 lines, so the 3rd was easy to add, but I'm having to fight to get any data included, so even though the line is free, I have to pay $15 for data....not exactly free. Can't even convince them that the base plan included 2GB of data and the add on I have was for 3GB (upgraded by TMo to unlimited some number of years ago)

Was able to add the promotional line with getting a physical sim. Do I need to "activate" it with a phone right away? I'm using this free line on a new phone that I will get after Christmas and therefore, don't have a "spare" phone currently to activate and use the line with currently.
