Does this works if I am grandfathered from sprint ?

edit:

"the offer will require the customer be on a Magenta biller (not Sprint) and have 2 or more (paid) lines. For reference, "Magenta Biller"

No go for Tmobile ONE 9-12 lines (for me)

Still check with a few agents if you have time to spare. My exact plan might not be the reason why I'm not eligible.

UPDATE: T-Mobile App Chat said I was eligible and added a line for me. The BYOD promotion shows up on the Plan Details and Service Promos pages. Two other promotions of mine no longer show up but Tforce confirmed they are still active.

Seems most people who are told are not eligible, are able to add the line and see the promotion. We shall see if they stick.

Well, I couldn't add the line on my own online as it was asking me to go to the store or call to complete the transaction due to being unable to check my identity, whatever that means.

Decided to risk it anyways and asked T-Force to activate a new BYOD Line to my esim.

I'm on simple choice, so far the line shows up on my account as $0 but the bill did go up by $30. Not seeing any promo yet neither nor text. Will give it 7 days and if nothing shows up cancel it. Crossing my fingers.

Good luck to everyone else.

Well I was shot down via chat (t-mobile app) twice. Shot down via T-Force yesterday. Shot down via 611 today. Added a line anyway (and had to do it via phone call as I have a pending home internet line added and can't make any changes online). Rep specifically told me I wasn't eligible before adding the line. Added with SIM card that I already had lying around here to see if the discount would apply. It immediately applied.

My plan:
FRLTULF2 T-Mobile One
TM1PROMO One Plus Promo on all lines except the new line (will try to add later to the new line)
21Q14S 2021 Line On Us 6
AALPROMOS This One's on Us (AAL)
2022HINTP10
and now 2022 BYOD Line P1

Not only does the free line show in my account, I just got this text message 20 minutes after the call ended. "Congrats! You will receive your promotional service discount from T-Mobile as long as you maintain eligibility. View t-mo.co/activity for account details."
For some reason autopay discount fell off my plan cost estimation after adding this line (was also told ineligible). Did that happen to you?

I added a line yesterday, 12/18, at 7:00 am. I made mistake of requesting a physical SIM instead of using an eSIM but I was not in hurry.

My problem is as of now, my order is still processing or "running" as it shows in status. Line has not been added yet. My concern is that if it does not get added today, and the promo actually ends today, I may not get the free line.

Has anyone tried cancelling the order for adding a line? I am thinking of trying to cancel the order and place a new one tonight using an eSIM. That may be asking for trouble though!!

Good luck. I'm still waiting, no promo text or the promo descriptive code showing up under Service Promotions on my account. My account history shows I will be charged $20 for the new line.

You'll be fine. Don't cancel your pending order. As long as you placed the order within the promotion period and your account is eligible, the line will be free.

I think as long as you placed the order during the promo, it should be ok.
Mine is similar but placed the order with the rep as online wont let my order go through (some verification non sense)

I wouldn't worry about it. I think it's based more on when you placed the order.
I would expect that the SIM card should get added to your account sometime tonight.

I ordered mine on Thursday morning and around late Thursday night it got added to my plan. I didn't receive the tracking information until Friday afternoon/night.

Plus if you do cancel it, it's far more likely they'll view your cancelled order as a cancelled line and you'll need to restart it just to get this promo

IMO, youre best off just waiting and I think everything will be fine.

Did you do esim or physical sim? I'm on SC 10gb upgraded to unlimited for 4 lines and 2 free lines. I'm thinking of just going online and activating a new line on my iphone 11 with esim and see if it shows up. Will canceling be a hassle if it doesn't go through? i called 611 and told i didn't qualify then on t-force told the same went in store and also told no. But some people are adding the line online with esim and are getting the promotion even though they were told no multiple times.

Isn't it fun to have T-Mobile as your provider. We would all be missing out if we were on AT&T or Verizon. 😀

It looks like auto pay is likely working. This is what it shows under promos now. It may or may not be showing correctly as I just added the $25 home internet and the free line and the home internet gateway has not shipped yet. I do not see auto payment for the home internet yet, but received the confirmation that the $25 promo applied. I gambled on adding the line as the rep told me I wasn't eligible and would have to pay the $35 activation plus the $20/month additional line cost. I activated it anyway and the discount immediately showed up in my account.

Applied discounts and promotions:
$10 AutoPay Discount
$24 Insider Discount
$15 AutoPay Discount (Additional Lines)
$20 2021 Line on Us 6 (Additional Lines)
$20 This One's on Us (AAL) (Additional Lines)
$20 2022 BYOD Line P1 (Additional Lines)

Thanks, I will try esim activation

I tried iMessage chat yesterday and I was told I was not eligible. Just now (20m ago), I added it anyway on the website using eSIM based on the other success messages on here. After activating the eSIM, I got a text message saying "Congrats! You will receive your promotional discount from T-Mobile as long as you maintain eligibility" and the new Line has the 2022 BYOD Line P1 promotion listed on the promotions account page. The bill still shows as being $20 higher for the moment, but I assume that will correct itself. I'm on SOC TM1TI2 (TMobile One). I have 2 other free lines on my account from 2020 promotions.

2h update: The account overview page now shows the promotional credit and my monthly bill is the same

I did mine via T-Force. I think they asked me to agree with the terms and conditions when they pasted it into the chat.

My account history shows nothing yet regarding the new line. Usually it shows that a new line was added and when it was added. Last time I added a new line through T-Force although the line was activated and working one one day it took several hours to show up on my history and the log said that it was activated the day after I talked to T-Force as if it was activated passed midnight. That part concerns me a little bit as it my get logged that this one was added on the 20th. But whatever, this was all taking a gamble as I was told not elegible several times and my SOC USCFM4 has not been elegible for the recent free line promos either.

So far I saw one post on reddit of someone that waited 2days for the promo to show up. My last promo took 7 days to show up. I give this promo aslo a week or so for a chance to show up, if nothing then cancel and wait at least 90 days for the next promo 😁
