When it says charge time is 4. I'm guessing that means 4 hours but how long does it last on a charge?

Wirecutter's top handheld pick https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutte...ld-vacuum/

I just got this on Amazon for $63 for a vacation condo to go along with a Roomba. The suction is very powerful for a handheld. Bit heavy though, though luckily the short battery life and strong suction means you won't be holding it for long.

I had this... It's trash.

The battery takes hours to charge, lasts about 5 minutes or less after a couple of months of battery aging, and the suction power was a joke... We wanted it "for the car and quick sofa cleaning", it barely picks up anything in the car mats and it doesn't last long enough to do anything significant. The filter, although washable and all, doesn't capture fine dust, so you are just recirculating dusty air through your house...

You've been warned.

B&D 20V Max should have meant it would use the batteries from the B&D 20V Max power tools. Missed opportunity.

My favorite vacuum for cars... Had one since 2015, onto my second now. Don't keep it on the charging stand as it accelerates battery aging keeping it 100% all the time. I vacuum my floor mats almost daily a minute at a time and it lasts 1 to 2 weeks. Great suction since it's 20v. On my 2nd one now as the battery was getting weak after 6+ yrs, I also dropped it on concrete and cracked the lid to the dust bin. I will buy a 3rd one if it's still available in ~2025. 😂

Couldn't disagree more. I have had this model for several years and think it's amazing: durable, very strong suction, good battery life for my uses (never have it run out on me). Can't comment on charge time since I always have it sitting on the charger base and never run out of power when using. I will note that I empty it constantly, every couple of uses, so that might be part of why it always works so well for me. It doesn't have a big filter canister so I can imagine that could get clogged up pretty quick if you don't clean it.

I love it and hated every Dustbuster I've had before it. Highly recommend

these tiny hand vacuums are not hepa sealed. so any dust you're cleaning is just being thrown back in the air

I have this, works well enough but has to be cleaned and emptied out pretty often. I (over)paid for it for $90 in 2021. It's $59 on Amazon right now. Still works great though

Ahh - maybe I shouldn't've kept it on the stand. Ours had provided stirling service over the years, but is no longer holding much charge, unfortunately. I might try replacing the battery…

I'd be interested to swap out batteries as well, but couldn't find a source. If u do pls let me know. It's not difficult to disassemble the unit... But unless you can solder 18650 cells I don't see a way. https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Blac...ent/100144

I have one of these handheld vacs. Good power, but the battery gave up too soon and wouldn't hold a charge any longer. I hacked it to work with the 20V B&D batteries I had already to give it new life. Simply swap the battery when it runs low and put in a new one!

Really nice. Currently have one sitting here debating to hack. Battery seems good but shuts off during short time usage. Was debating to wire it to run Milwaukee m18 battery
