Does supercharging measure in miles? I thought charging was measured in watts or time??

Tesla has dropped prices and offered free Supercharging in the past at year's end. This time, however, it's even more critical for them because of people who are waiting to take delivery starting January 2023 in order to get either the $3,750 or $7,500 tax credits.

If they offer $7,500 off, I'd take delivery this month!

Take care,
Tofu Vic

Does this mean that if you picked up your car in December 2022, but before the 15th, you won't qualify for the 10,000 free supercharging miles?

It's in watts ofc so they're just estimating how many kW, something along the lines of 3MW free

You have to use it within 2 years. I took delivery of my Model Y yesterday. I am happy with the $3,750 credit.

Not sure how they're calculating but if it's similar to my calculations, I say about $1450 if you charge only at peak hours.

At $0.58 per kWh, and you get about 4 miles per kWh, you're looking at $0.145 per mile. 0.145 * 10,000 gets you $1,450.

And Musk sold 3.5 billion in Tesla stock this week. Hmm I wonder what this means. Time to short sell?

Then $0.58/kWh (that's the rate in my area) * 3,000kWh = $1,740
