Agree. LG wing did it pretty well with the pop-up camera. I don't know why people became so comfortable tolerating ugly notches and disruptive punch holes rather than just a slim top asyl like on the Note 9, S9, pixel 3 etc...

I will buy this phone...just hoping it will be cheaper in January. I'm moving to New Zealand and a flagship there will cost way more than me buying one in the US. I guess I should check bands before pulling the trigger, though.

i like this phone but i've been waiting for it to go on sale (for real). i want the zenfone 9 for $400. everyone else does trade in deals or rebates or whatever. just can't find this phone for cheap. i thought phones were supposed to drop in price aggressively over time, like big screen TVs and video games generally do. google runs nice sales on their current year phones. samsung as well. asus holding fast at original msrp with some piddy $20 discount! probably don't have the margin to discount heavily cuz the other guys push so much more volume in sales and thus production.
