Also, there is no physical Fi SIM included; it activates via the eSIM.
I actually used a google voice number last year for a port in, but they have cracked down I guess.
I've been with Google Fi since 2016, love it, but customer service has gone seriously downhill, regardless, the reception in my area is excellent and I travel quite a bit so love the flexibility of the data plan working.
Here's my analysis of the deal (I also got a pixel 7 for myself and a pixel 7 pro which I will be giving to a friend).
I am currently on Google Fi, bought the Pixel 7 for myself for $599-$200 (promotion)-$250 (trade in promotion bonus)-$149 (trade in value for iphone SE 2nd Gen, turns on, not cracked). Total cost $0 for the phone but needed to pay ~$80 ish for a used iphone SE on ebay, so net cost is $80 ish PLUS a few dollars tax on price of Pixel 7 PLUS 2 months service (which I was already paying).
I also bought a Pixel 7 Pro for my bro who signed up with his gmail: $899 - $300 off (promotion) - $250 off (trade in promotion) - $330 (trade in value for iphone 11 64 GB, turns on, no cracks). Total cost for phone is $19 +2 months of service (~$40) + cost of iphone 11 (still haven't figured out what to do, might try that Metro PCS deal someone mentioned for $140 ish?).
Besides keeping plan active for 60 days/2 months otherwise they claw back the $200 for Pixel 7, $300 for Pixel 7 PRO, you must open the device, put the actual FI sim into it to active, and then you can do whatever you want with the device but you CANNOT put the FI sim into another phone for at least 60 days. Also prob not a good idea to put a different FI sim into either of these phones, but other network providers SIMS into these phones should be fine.
If you do more multiples, your actual phone plan cost goes down because when you have 3 ppl on a group plan its $25/line for Simply Unlimited plan. If you have 4 lines, it's $20/line.
I tried stacking the $20 referral bonus they always have but it is not applicable with the $200/$300 promotion.
Did I miss anything?

Can anyone confirm they've activated a physical sim, or esim, from another carrier after activating their FI line without issue? for those of us that bought the phone and want to use on a different service.

e.g. You can leave the Fi SIM as primary for calls and SMS and use the physical SIM for mobile data, which will keep the Google Fi charges at the minimum on the Flexible plan.
