After you've completed the required days, the promos will be moved from the In Progress column to the Earned column. That's when it's safe for you to cancel your Fi service. In your Fi account, click on Account-->Your Plan. Scroll down until you see Leave Fi, click on it. It will give you options on what to do (cancel, pause, port out etc). Since the 1st bill usually started 2 days after your service was activated, the 61st day should be 2 or more days before the 3rd billing period starts. Cancel promptly on the 61st day and you won't be charged the 3rd bill.

you don't have to since even iphone 8 or SE 2nd gen @$150 will suffice ($600-200-250-150). If you want Pro then iphone 11 is enough since it fetches $330 as trade in ($900-300-250-330).

OK, forgive me, because I am not at all familiar with eSIM's. I would want to use my physical SIM for call, text, and data so the phone can replace my wife's primary phone, and not use the Fi Sim at all. I'm hoping mine arrives with a physical SIM card but that seems unlikely. Worst case scenerio to be certain I will activate it on Fi and then just set it aside for 60 days.

What should work is to activate the phone with Fi on eSIM. Perhaps wait a day or two for the Fi app to show that you've activated the device and any other eligibility requirements. Then, insert physical SIM and turn off the Google Fi eSIM.

I ordered a Pixel 7 on a current Fi account. No port info was required at purchase. Trying to activate via esim and the only option given is to transfer my number from my Fold 4 to the Pixel 7. Fold 4 still has 49 days to meet promo conditions. Can't figure out how to get a new number. This deal is a bit more complicated without a physical sim. I may end up just returning and wait for the next deal to come along.

I thought existing customers could add a line without the port in requirement that is why I was considering doing it on my newly created account.

is there an option to change port-in number if the first attempt is unsuccessful? I am not confident the tracfone port will work 100% (i gave away that device).

I chose the flexible plan, it's $5 cheaper for two lines on the same account with the 2nd line added as a group member on the first line. Two lines are $35 plus tax.
Each line separately in it's account would be $20 + tax for each account.

The promotion details note "Numbers ported in must be from carriers that have calling, voice and data services." but it looks like few SDers managed to get the offer porting-in a GV number.
I am on the fence, I ordered a ting sim card shipped to BB. Should be ready for pick up in a week.
The number should be transferred within 30 days of shipment confirmation Email, so I can wait for the SIM.,but GV port-in would definitely be easier and faster if it wasn't for that fine print making me concerned a bit.

But did you need to have another number to port in for that 2nd line, cause obviously you cant port in the one you just porting in for your first line, or do they let you get a new number.

You can't have two device promos on the same line. No carrier allows you to have two device promos on the line.
If you ordered an additional line, it would have saved you the hassle of returning the pixel phone.

I didn't previously know that a Google voice port in was allowed. Now that it is, you could open a new account and port in a Google voice number, then wait a day and order the pixel as an existing customer.

Thanks for all your answers and attempts to clarify this I appreciate it but unfortunately I'm still not tracking. From what I read as an existing customer your expected to port the number that you currently have with Fi to your new pixel, well for me that number will be the one I just got for pixel #1 (I do intend to use a google voice number for that). I think to be (fairly) certain that it will all work out I'll just spend a little bit more and create a totally separate Fi account for them.

Going to root my phone as soon as I receive it tmr ,it will need flash boot img according to my knowledge, as I haven't use esim before, Wondering will it trip my account in terms of receive port in number credit?

My understanding is that an existing customer must move their existing phone number to the newly arrived phone as part of the activation. Then you might be required to keep the number on the new phone for 60 days, but I'm cloudy about that part.
