(Activated eSIM yesterday and added a physical SIM, set to primary for data)
Your first line will be considered "existing customer".
The second line that you add will be considered as "new customer".
Every line needs its own gmail account.
Each line separately in it's account would be $20 + tax for each account.

The promotion details note "Numbers ported in must be from carriers that have calling, voice and data services." but it looks like few SDers managed to get the offer porting-in a GV number.
I am on the fence, I ordered a ting sim card shipped to BB. Should be ready for pick up in a week.
The number should be transferred within 30 days of shipment confirmation Email, so I can wait for the SIM.,but GV port-in would definitely be easier and faster if it wasn't for that fine print making me concerned a bit.

If you ordered an additional line, it would have saved you the hassle of returning the pixel phone.
It works on the opposite direction, so I would hope that it works for you as well. Mine arrived with a Fi SIM and I used the E-Sim with another service. I didn't turn off data but made the other sim primary for everything.
