After you've completed the required days, the promos will be moved from the In Progress column to the Earned column. That's when it's safe for you to cancel your Fi service. In your Fi account, click on Account-->Your Plan. Scroll down until you see Leave Fi, click on it. It will give you options on what to do (cancel, pause, port out etc). Since the 1st bill usually started 2 days after your service was activated, the 61st day should be 2 or more days before the 3rd billing period starts. Cancel promptly on the 61st day and you won't be charged the 3rd bill.

you don't have to since even iphone 8 or SE 2nd gen @$150 will suffice ($600-200-250-150). If you want Pro then iphone 11 is enough since it fetches $330 as trade in ($900-300-250-330).

you have proof that you activated the phone. counter screw up aside, no CS can deny the fact it was activated.

btw, anyone ported from tracfone, can they confirm the steps? is account # IMEI of phone? pin # generated online in account works? do i need to receive/confirm any text/call from tracfone to complete port? I do not have the tracfone phone anymore with me so cannot receive/asnwer text/sim etc.
I just transfer from my tracfone verizon, you need #15digits account number also generate pin online or call cs after they verified account is yours they send pin by email..

Most importantly your account should e active not suspended ( e.g. plan expired.).. after getting those info it took me less than 5mins complete transfer to Google fi, almost instantaneously..

Yes that guy called my tracfone number to ensure I'm the owner, talked 2mins ,then swapped back to line where i called from.,

When you call cs , Make sure you have TracFone sim card pop in a phone ready,.also line is active.

I called cs used my boost mobile number ask for TF account number and pin, they need to verify account owner, while calling them they simultaneously called my tracfone number.

You need to gather everything ( account number, pin and zip code from TF) before going to Google fi kick off transfer process. Making sense?

You must be first time port in or out a number, previous carrier will never verify account again text or call after you have submitted transfer form to new carrier. Only validation need to be done at the moment you request account number and pin. As long as account in good standing also info are accurate, you are all set, flip side if anything wrong your port in will be failed.

With all the publicity about people's phone numbers getting ported out without their knowledge, TF Port Dept starting calling people as far back as Sept last year when I ported out. If you hadn't been calling them to request your acct number and PIN, you would have received a call from TF Dept when the new carrier submits its request to TF for the number release.

I didn't port in from TF for this deal, but I did with another deal. Here are the steps: (although it would be difficult if you don't have the phone/SIM any more);
* From your phone on TF, text the word FOUR to 611611. It'll text back a 4-digit number of the account number, which could be the SIM number or the IMEI number. If you had SIM-swapped many times, it could be difficult to figure out which IMEI it is.
* The Port PIN generated in the account (or by texting NTP (Network Transfer PIN) to 611611) is good for about 24 hrs. Past that, you'll need to generate another one.
* Usually, TF Port Dept will call you on the number being ported out to confirm that you had made the request to port out. They will release the number after your confirmation.
Is it possible to port out inactive TF number? I merged it to my main line

Not possible as far as I know. You would have to reactivate that line with a minimal time card, and IF that number has not been reassigned to someone else. If you don't care for that number, it'd be cheaper and easier to get a GV number for port-in to Fi. Costs nothing and the transfer takes less than a minute, don't have to contact anyone for port-out info.

Thanks. That's what I am worried about since I don't have the device. I can't just put sim in another device as that usually doesn't work with trafone afaik.

By the time TF detects that the SIM was used with another phone and causes problems, your number is already ported out and the line deactivated.
