After you've completed the required days, the promos will be moved from the In Progress column to the Earned column. That's when it's safe for you to cancel your Fi service. In your Fi account, click on Account-->Your Plan. Scroll down until you see Leave Fi, click on it. It will give you options on what to do (cancel, pause, port out etc). Since the 1st bill usually started 2 days after your service was activated, the 61st day should be 2 or more days before the 3rd billing period starts. Cancel promptly on the 61st day and you won't be charged the 3rd bill.

you don't have to since even iphone 8 or SE 2nd gen @$150 will suffice ($600-200-250-150). If you want Pro then iphone 11 is enough since it fetches $330 as trade in ($900-300-250-330).

Nice deal, but no one is trading in a 13 Pro Max for a free Pixel 7 lol

1. I've been checking the status of my P7 deal since activation on 12/23, but I did not find the checklist items before today so I don't know when the status was updated.

2. The info for the P7 is displayed differently from my other deals. With the S22 deals, there's only ONE promo (buy the phone, trade-in is optional, stay xx days) so Fi listed the checklist items directly under Fi Savings-->Progress. With the P7 deal, there are TWO promos: one requires buying the phone, stay 60 days; one requires trading in an iPhone. So, Fi decided to put the checklist items under each promo, which is logical, but I wish they/the reps would tell us how to find that info. I didn't click on the promo items because they didn't appear to be clickable, and the S22 deal doesn't show it like that. I guess the old dogs always follow the old trails.

3. I just checked my Fi Account-->Your Plan and it shows only ONE P7, not two like someone else has. When I clicked on the P7, it displayed the IMEI1 (which is tied to the physical SIM).

More screenshots below
Great post. Thanks.
I was always checking under Billing -> Fi Savings -> In Progress.by clicking on each promotion. However it doesn't show activated yet..
Man - these Fi promotions are so complicated.

Update on activating P7 with a physical SIM card from Amazon. I activated the phone with the sim yesterday and today both promos show the phone is activated and I have 60 days left to be eligible for them
Thanks for the datapoint. So it means Google Fi Sims are NOT promotion specific.
Any Fi SIM can be used for this promotion and it should work.

What is a good way to check if the Referral has been applied to your account?
It doesn't seem to show up in Billing -> Fi Savings -> In Progress.
After activating the phone, you should receive an email from Fi as shown below. The credit will not show in your account until 30 days after activation.

I wouldn't bet the promotion on it.

FWIW, for the S22 deal, the phone is activated with the pre-installed SIM. After activation, if you put that Fi SIM into another phone, you'll get a message to put the Fi SIM back into its original SIM. So, there's some kind of pairing between the SIM and the phone's IMEI.

Do you know if the referrer and referee gets the rebate if the referee joins Google Fi with the referral link from the referrer and orders the device using the rebate and promotions in this thread?

As opposed to adding the Referral code after activation..

I received the same confirmation E-mail.

This probably means you can't delete the Esim from the phone before your 60 days active days requirement is met.

Well, this is my 5th Fi Deal (four S22 and one P7). I worked in IT for 35 yrs so I pay attention to details and document everything. Screenshots and digital cameras make documenting much easier than writing things down.

I think so. Deleting the eSIM probably will deactivate your Fi service.

I don't know about adding the referral code after activation.
I guess the gist of your question is whether a referral code can be used with THIS promotion (double dipping). I couldn't use one for my P7 order, and nobody used my code for a P7 order. I got 4 x $20 credit from people using my code for their S22 orders.

Update- for people not showing the ✅ next to your promotional discounts like me. I just spoke to CSR and it's only the system not keeping up. But ACCORDING to CSR everything is okay and keep meeting the requirements for the full discounts. I obviously sent a copy of the chat to my email to be on the safe side! ( no ✅ for me next to activate services, transfer new number ) good luck all!

How do I make sure it doesn't affect the promotion? Both promotions checkmark the activation step. Anything else to check to make sure the physical sim doesn't affect the promotion?

I don't know anything else to do besides sending your trade-in phone and checking the countdown each day.

I am not really sure if it is double dipping since referral credits are treated differently for savings purposes.
I just chat with customer support asking about referrals and he told me it will not negate my promotion.
My question was you can create referral links from your account and if the referee signs up following your referral link you both should get the referral credits. -in this scenario you don't have to enter the promotion code since it is built in the referral link-

I ordered my second device joining fi with the referral link created from my first account. I don't know if the referrals successfully applied yet but I don't see how this should hurt the promotion.

I managed to successfully apply the promotion code -not the referral- during checkout in my new account and placed my order for the second device.

I am not usually this concerned about promotions but this promotion is keeping me on my toes.

I've never sent a link to anyone. I just now sent a link from my Fi account to my 2nd email address. The Fi web site said "Referral email sent", but the email didn't arrive. Nothing in the Spam and Trash folders. Tried it twice. Nada.

I just gave people the code. When they used it, I got the credit. That's simple enough for me and them.
