Start reading the posts from Dec 1st. There are success and horror stories. I have one of each.
I was just curious how you went about referring multiple Fi accounts.
Would referring myself and creating a new Fi account with the same address & CC negate the S22 device promo?

I self-referred on one account with the S22 120-day deal. With the other accounts, I didn't use a referral code either because the deal requires only 30 days of service and the referral credit would become available only after 30 days (i.e. only good for 2nd bill on) or the P7 deal didn't accept another code after the PIXEL2022 code.
Actually you could probably just contact Fi. It's easier now that its past 24 hrs. When I found the error with TF, probably about 12 hr later, I call Fi to check in the port and to tell them to reinitiate the request, but they just told me to wait as it can take 24 hrs. After 48 hrs with no port, I contacted Fi again but by chat and the chat agent was able to check on the port and stated it was because it was initiated outside of porting hours. He asked permission to abort the request in order to redo it. In this case you need your TF phone as it might send a new NTP. The FI CSR was working on the request and having some problems, when I randomly noticed a new text from TF with a new NTP. Luckily I had it nearby. Turns out it was the 2nd one while on chat and each request he made initiated a new NTP to be generated from TF. I informed him and then he changed the NTP and it went through. Took like few minutes to port and I got notification it was successful. I don't remember where, maybe in the FI app. Fi CSR also told me it was successful on his end.

Log into your Fi account using a computer, click on Account-->Your Plan. It should show 2 entries: one is your Fi phone, the other is your Trade-In phone with a tracking number of the kit.
If you don't see the entry for the Trade-in Kit, then your order did not include a trade-in. It happened with one of my orders after I kept going back and forth to check trade-in values of different phones. When I resumed with the order, the trade-in option dropped off but I didn't notice it until the order had been shipped. Contacted Fi Support but they said they couldn't add a trade-in after the order had been processed. Had to tell the FedEx driver that I refused the shipment and returned it to Fi. They got it back after a few days, but it took another 4 weeks to get a refund for it. A real hassle.
It is still stuck in Preshipment sent to USPS.
Called USPS they say they haven't received package.
Called Google they say they send package on 12/22
Now Google says wait another 14 business days and they will ship another trade in package. By that time my 30 days will be close.
Please note that it is 30 days from the initiation of the trade in to when Google receives your old phone, for Google to honor the trade in. It seems 10 plus days have already passed for me. It also takes forever after you send your trade in kit to get to the warehouse in Nashville, so it's going to be super close with the deadline.
As it was noted by some other users earlier on one of the devices corresponds to Imei (sim slot 1) and the other one correponds to Esim IMEI (sim slot2)
For some reason the system recognizes each IMEI as a separate device.
On a positive note, yesterday I escalated the activation registration not showing issue and yesterday evening all the checkmarks were correctly applied. This morning I see my stay active for x more days correctly tracking my promotion status.
Now I am not sure if it was because I escalated the issue or the system just somehow miraculously updated on its own yesterday. I didn't get any correspondence Email from promo team confirming that my issue was fixed.

I am just curious why the system still shows I have two devices.
If I had to take a guess I would say it has something to do with me putting a sim active with another carrier in IMEI1 slot after activating the device with the Esim and then removing that sim after a day or so.
