After you've completed the required days, the promos will be moved from the In Progress column to the Earned column. That's when it's safe for you to cancel your Fi service. In your Fi account, click on Account-->Your Plan. Scroll down until you see Leave Fi, click on it. It will give you options on what to do (cancel, pause, port out etc). Since the 1st bill usually started 2 days after your service was activated, the 61st day should be 2 or more days before the 3rd billing period starts. Cancel promptly on the 61st day and you won't be charged the 3rd bill.

you don't have to since even iphone 8 or SE 2nd gen @$150 will suffice ($600-200-250-150). If you want Pro then iphone 11 is enough since it fetches $330 as trade in ($900-300-250-330).

Nice deal, but no one is trading in a 13 Pro Max for a free Pixel 7 lol

I'm buying an iphone 11 from someone on facebook marketplace for $185. Google says trade in value is $330 and I get the $250 bonus credit. If my math is correct I'll be getting the pixel 7 pro 128gb for $899 - $300(promo) - $250(credit) + $185(buying iphone) - $330(trade in credit) = $204
You didn't include the cost of 60 days of Fi service, plus sales tax on the phone.

I was planning on switching to fi anyways. Currently use spectrum mobile and I'd prefer to not give them more $

Just ran into a little problem I'd like to point out to possibly save some hassle to anyone else who might be new to a deal process like this, eSIM, and/or who is looking to "test" things before transferring from there old phone/provider. Maybe someone will have a simple solution.

I received my new pixel 7 last week. I immediately got it up and running on Fi (with eSIM because no physical SIM was included) but didn't want to proceed any further than that until I was able to confirm that the promotion terms were tracking. So at the time I chose not to transfer data from my old phone to the new one. Now that the days are counting down and everything seems to be going well I decided I was fairly comfortable making it my daily use phone. However, I can not find an easy way to transfer all the info from my old phone to my new phone. The "finish setup" option is no longer available. I know I could reset the phone to factory setting and start over then transfer everything but that would also affect the eSIM and I'm afraid possibly mess with the promotion/ countdown.

1. I currently have 4 Fi deals on going. Each full monthly bill is $26.56, including taxes & fees. I've attached the billing info of 3 accounts. The 4th account (another Samsung S22 30-day deal) was activated this morning and hasn't got a bill yet.
2. I've never got a prorated billing. As shown in the screenshots, the 1st billing always started 2 days after activation, and the next ones start on the same day of the month. One month shows $1.55 because I had a $20 referral credit and $1.01 excess trade-in credit.
3. I enter the port info when placing the order. Porting takes place when the phone is activated.
4. I sell my phones to resellers like WeCellTrade, Gizmogo, Trademore. I no longer sell on Ebay after encountering some flaky buyers. I've never used Craiglist or social-networking sites.
I'm really confused between esim activation and physical sim based others in SD experiencing issues with the Fi system properly activating & registering their promos. What was your process for the S22 green 30-day deal?

The following look okay to you:
1. Refer yourself from an existing Fi account
2. Activate phone & port in GV number
3. Order S22 as existing customer and stay on Fi for 30 days after activating phone
4. Activate S22 on esim if Fi doesn't send physical sim

Thank you for your detailed responses. They have been really helpful.
I plan on doing the TF deals once I'm done with Fi.

The s22 comes with a physical sim. It's the pixel 7s that are doing esim.

Before I give further information, I want to be clear on item 2. Activate phone & port in GV number. Which phone is being activated in step 2?

Do a Google search on "Copy Android phone after setup". There are several ways to do it. One way is to do a Restore. Backup your old phone to your Google account. Log into the same Google account on your P7 and use the Restore function. Google will show a list of backups from your devices and when they were made. Select the most recent one from your old phone. That should copy apps, phone settings from your old phone. It should copy your Contact List and Calendar too. Other things like music files, photos, text messages nowadays can be copied directly from one phone to another using the double-headed USB-C cable.

I thought/hoped it would be that easy but it was not. Already tried that, when I select the newly created backup of my old phone on the new pixel the only option I get is "Delete" From what searching I've done so far it sounds like a lot of people have had this problem. Worst case scenario I'll add apps one at a time I guess but will take a while.

On the new phone, you can go to Play Store using the same Google account. Touch your initial on the far right of the Search bar-->Manage apps & device-->Manage-->Click on Installed to drop down the menu and select Not Installed. It will show a list of apps that you had installed at one time or another on your phones but are not currently installed on the new phone. Checkbox the ones you want, then touch the Download icon at the top. It will install those apps on your new phone.

Ah yes This is the Way! Might even like this option better than transferring it in the beginning as there will likely be at least a couple apps I wont bother with. Also if this is a fresh install, meaning not transferring all the data associated with the apps, might even be better at not creating any sort of issues. Of course will have a little extra work to do within those apps. Thanks so much.

Factory Reset does NOT affect the eSIM.

When you tap Erase all data (factory reset) under settings > system > reset options, you can uncheck Erase downloaded SIMs if you scroll down to the bottom. This would preserve your eSIM.

Hmm good to know. So no chance of that looking like a pause or chamge in service to Fi.

Factory reset doesn't typically affect eSIM status or service. Unless you forcibly delete the eSIM. Even in an iPhone it tells you that the eSIM will remain intact after a factory reset. You're supposed to erase the eSIM manually if you need to sell or trade in your phone.

I'm not an expert on Fi, but cannot imagine factory resetting resulting in pause, change or interruption of service.

I was going to activate an existing iPhone and port in a GV number to Fi. Would love to hear(read) your suggestions on how to about it.

There's this thread about the S22 30-day deal:
https://slickdeals.net/f/16215670-samsung-galaxy-s22-with-google-fi-starting-at-299?p=160646227&comm...

Start reading the posts from Dec 1st. There are success and horror stories. I have one of each.
