After you've completed the required days, the promos will be moved from the In Progress column to the Earned column. That's when it's safe for you to cancel your Fi service. In your Fi account, click on Account-->Your Plan. Scroll down until you see Leave Fi, click on it. It will give you options on what to do (cancel, pause, port out etc). Since the 1st bill usually started 2 days after your service was activated, the 61st day should be 2 or more days before the 3rd billing period starts. Cancel promptly on the 61st day and you won't be charged the 3rd bill.

you don't have to since even iphone 8 or SE 2nd gen @$150 will suffice ($600-200-250-150). If you want Pro then iphone 11 is enough since it fetches $330 as trade in ($900-300-250-330).

Nice deal, but no one is trading in a 13 Pro Max for a free Pixel 7 lol

Weirdest thing happened with my trade-in kit. I could track it and it showed out for delivery this morning and I received it this evening.
However when I check the tracking through the Google Fi account right now the tracking # completely changed and shows as pre-shipment sent to USPS, USPS awaiting item on December 21st with no other updates.

I wonder if anyone else had anything like this happen before.

Quote from SociableSpaniel989 :
I did not receive the kit yet. They stated that it was shipped I contacted them no use. They say same thing again and again wait fro 7 to 10 businness days.
Quote from HonestSink770 :
Update on activation status.

The P7Pro with Physical SIM shows the countdown now. Says 59 days left for the promotion.
The P7Pro with eSIM does NOT show countdown timer till now. Shows 2 IMEI devices. Fi rep has told me to wait another 48 hours. He basically said after the holiday (Jan 3rd), they will escalate it to the Promo team.

Trade in for one of them is stuck in Pre-Shipment USPS status since a week.
Quote from HonestSink770 :
Please check on store.google.com. It will list your trade in kit over there and tracking will be provided. Most likely it might be stuck on the initial stage of USPS awaiting for item and pre-shipment provided to the US but package not received.

Thanks. Can you downgrade the plan for this promo?
After December, would you still need to be on Unlimited Plus?

Great deal. Too bad I forgot about this. I created a new Fi account and ported a number. Will end up paying for 2+ months. Where as in this deal it would have been free.

You essentially saved 2 months of Fi + Taxes + Cost of porting number ~$50-$60. Well done!
Yes I'm able to downgrade the plan. Only the first month needs to be on an unlimited plan.

As I had posted before, there are two tracking numbers: one when the trade-in kit is on its way to you, one is when you're sending it to Fi. Look at the tracking number on the label side showing you as the recipient, that's tracking #1. Flip the label over, on the back is the tracking #2 for when it's being shipped to Fi.

My trade-in kit has been delivered to me so I can't take screenshot of what it showed when it was enroute to me. But I think the Fi web site is smart enough to switch from tracking #1 to tracking #2 after the kit was delivered to you.

You are absolutely right. I missed your post about the labels. Yes Google Fi already started tracking my return label as you suggested.
The new tracking number belongs to my return label.

Please be advised there are 2 tracking numbers with each trade in kit.
Tracking Number 1: Trade in Kit from Google to the User
Tracking Number 2: Trade in Old phone from User to Google.

As soon as Google initiates the Trade in, both Tracking #1 and Tracking # 2 are activated at USPS. Tracking # 2 is essentially below the address label of your trade in kit (you need to flip it and paste it when sending it out).

Tracking # 2 will continue to show USPS awaiting item starting from the day the trade in was initiated. The status will change to received when the user actually ships out the old phone.

I've done a bunch of these trade-ins. Unfortunately sometimes USPS doesn't even update the tracking for Tracking #2 when receiving the item. In most cases it won't even show delivered as these packages are picked up in bulk and don't have a destination scan.
It's just a painfully slow process prone to errors.

I had a similar situation. In my case the issue was TF only ports during business hours, 8am to 1145pm est. If you initiated it outside these hours it will hang, unless there is some other issue like wrong pin or account number. TF only cares about acct number, port pin and zip code. You can contact Tracfone Portability Dept, Portability Specialist at 1-800-327-2077 to see if there are issues on that end. If they see nothing then you need to contact Fi.

Actually you could probably just contact Fi. It's easier now that its past 24 hrs. When I found the error with TF, probably about 12 hr later, I call Fi to check in the port and to tell them to reinitiate the request, but they just told me to wait as it can take 24 hrs. After 48 hrs with no port, I contacted Fi again but by chat and the chat agent was able to check on the port and stated it was because it was initiated outside of porting hours. He asked permission to abort the request in order to redo it. In this case you need your TF phone as it might send a new NTP. The FI CSR was working on the request and having some problems, when I randomly noticed a new text from TF with a new NTP. Luckily I had it nearby. Turns out it was the 2nd one while on chat and each request he made initiated a new NTP to be generated from TF. I informed him and then he changed the NTP and it went through. Took like few minutes to port and I got notification it was successful. I don't remember where, maybe in the FI app. Fi CSR also told me it was successful on his end.
Thanks for the great advice.I just chatted with a representative and asked her to abort my original transfer. Then, i requested a new new pin from Tracfone and initiated another transfer via FI app. it works flawless this time. Thanks!

Well I also still have issues with the ☑️ on some of the progress bonus. Activation n transfer. Second time talking to CSR and now they say it's because my account shows two devices. I guess phone download Esim to slot 2 not slot 1 and that throws everything off. He gave me some instructions on how to forcefully reset the esim thing, now I gotta wait 24 hours to see if it fixes the problem.. if not I gotta get back to them oof 😣

eSIM is paired with the 2nd IMEI, and the physical SIM is paired with the 1st IMEI. I don't know if there's a way to switch that.

In about 24 hours I'll find out if the instructions I got worked. ( Opening sim tray. Deleting Google Fi catch & storage re-downloading esim and restart phone)

Does it matter if the iPhone 8 I'm trading in is locked to a provider? When I went to check the details it says Trade-in
Apple iPhone 8 Plus (256 GB All Carriers). I don't know if my old phone is unlocked for all carriers....

It doesn't mean unlocked to all carriers. It means all carriers are qualified
