Can we send the trade in via FedEx or UPS and insure it for the full amount of the P7. In case Google misplaces the phone we have proof that it was delivered.
I wouldn't recommend it. Being familiar with the Warehouse processes, each type of shipping service has a different way of getting to the dock of the inbound warehouse location. This package gets to the receiving manager on Dock 25 via Postal service. Most of these packages are picked in bulk from the distribution center and sometimes don't even have a delivery scan. A FedEx/UPS package would be tracked differently

Furthermore the Tracking #, Trade in ID are linked in the system. So if you use UPS/Fedex - even if you put the trade id on the label, the Google systems will always track by USPS and CS reps will tell you that the package wasn't delivered.

The warehouses are doing a lot of inbound/outbound receiving + shipping activity which is different from trade ins. The last thing you want to do is confuse them by doing things differently. The folks who work there have no incentive to go the extra mile to make sure your package is received and evaluated properly.

Overnight update. Website now correctly recognize the activation and phone number transfer. Checkmarks and 60 day countdown are all there. I basically wasted 10+ days with the useless CSRs. Only bummer is that 60 days starts now instead of 10 days ago.

So if you still have the same eSIM not being recognized as part of the promotion fulfillment, just go ahead and buy a Fi physical SIM from Target, Amazon, BestBuy, etc. Follow the steps above and all should be good after 24-48 hours (it only took about 12 hours / overnight).

Only thing left is the actual trade-in and maintaining an active account for 60 days. Fingers crossed that portion goes OK.
Sorry where do you see these "checkmarks" exactly and this countdown?

Log into your Fi account using a computer, click on Billing-->Fi Savings-->In Progress. It'll show two separate promotions. Click on each promotion to see the checklist and countdown.

USPS is a mess!
How's this for terrible performance? I enrolled in Informed Delivery and each evening it shows mail pieces and packages coming the next day. This shows a mail piece to be delivered tomorrow Jan 3rd. Look at the post mark......Dec 12th. The place that mailed that envelope is about 50 miles from my house.

Another account of terrible performance. My package shipped out 10 days ago, finally got the first scan. And that's in the state of PA. Lol. The package was supposed to go from IN to TN. It basically went to a totally different location.

Was reading that you cannot use the fi sim in a different phone. Ok fine.

Can you use a different sim in the new pixel ?

Am eager to set the device up but might not activate the service until after the holidays (traveling a bunch).

Anyone know if that would be a problem ?
Just activate Pixel within 30 days.
Yes you can use different carrier sim in the new pixel.

So is the safest option is to buy a physical sim and activate that? Seems like eSim is a problem?

Will this work to keep the promo while using a physical sim of another carrier?

1) activate Fi with eSim (port in from Google Voice)
2) insert Tmo sim
3) Change settings to use physical sim for voice and data

I'm assuming Fi will continue the promo countdown while eSim is not in service (appears like the phone is off)? TIA.

Not sure about others, But they misplaced my tax docs twice during non winter months.
When i go to PO to enquire about my package the answer is "once we ship from here, nothing we can do, you have to call the post office where it was destined to". They do not even give the number. No one attends the number from Google. Not sure.
One time I shipped out headphones for repair to service center. The guy at the counter entered destination address as my home address instead service center address.Basically he swapped from and to address. I have only realised after receiving my package back in 2 days.
When

1. Not sure, offer terms says port in should be from a carrier that does calling, voice and data. Google Voice doesn't fit those requirements, not sure how closely they'll enforce this.

2. Yes, insert physical sim or even 2nd esim

3. Yes, no problem.

Yup, you can turn off the esim if you'd like or change settings that basically disable voice and data and it'll continue the countdown.

In the fi app, there is a promo tab where you'll see current promos, it'll show check marks next to all the terms, it can take a few days for the check mark to appear after completing the task. You'll see stuff like, port-in, activate phone, keep active for 60 days etc in the checklist.

I have rceived the phone from fi and a physical fi sim from amazon.

What are the steps to activate? Insert SIM, Open Fi App and login? Will it have a place for me to add the iccid of the sim to my fi account.

My area in KS (about 60 miles west of Kansas City where the mail was stamped) only had bad weather for 2 days before Christmas. My mail which was postmarked on Dec 12 should've been delivered way before that.
