Furthermore the Tracking #, Trade in ID are linked in the system. So if you use UPS/Fedex - even if you put the trade id on the label, the Google systems will always track by USPS and CS reps will tell you that the package wasn't delivered.
The warehouses are doing a lot of inbound/outbound receiving + shipping activity which is different from trade ins. The last thing you want to do is confuse them by doing things differently. The folks who work there have no incentive to go the extra mile to make sure your package is received and evaluated properly.
So if you still have the same eSIM not being recognized as part of the promotion fulfillment, just go ahead and buy a Fi physical SIM from Target, Amazon, BestBuy, etc. Follow the steps above and all should be good after 24-48 hours (it only took about 12 hours / overnight).
Only thing left is the actual trade-in and maintaining an active account for 60 days. Fingers crossed that portion goes OK.
Can you use a different sim in the new pixel ?
Am eager to set the device up but might not activate the service until after the holidays (traveling a bunch).
Anyone know if that would be a problem ?
Yes you can use different carrier sim in the new pixel.

1) activate Fi with eSim (port in from Google Voice)
2) insert Tmo sim
3) Change settings to use physical sim for voice and data
I'm assuming Fi will continue the promo countdown while eSim is not in service (appears like the phone is off)? TIA.
When i go to PO to enquire about my package the answer is "once we ship from here, nothing we can do, you have to call the post office where it was destined to". They do not even give the number. No one attends the number from Google. Not sure.
One time I shipped out headphones for repair to service center. The guy at the counter entered destination address as my home address instead service center address.Basically he swapped from and to address. I have only realised after receiving my package back in 2 days.

2. Yes, insert physical sim or even 2nd esim
3. Yes, no problem.
Yup, you can turn off the esim if you'd like or change settings that basically disable voice and data and it'll continue the countdown.
In the fi app, there is a promo tab where you'll see current promos, it'll show check marks next to all the terms, it can take a few days for the check mark to appear after completing the task. You'll see stuff like, port-in, activate phone, keep active for 60 days etc in the checklist.
What are the steps to activate? Insert SIM, Open Fi App and login? Will it have a place for me to add the iccid of the sim to my fi account.
