I got 17in 512gb i7 2021 model from woot for $818 after tax. I really like it. Wish it had touch screen but having such a large screen and light weight device is awesome. Only complaint would be speakers. They could be a lot better
are these brand new? and is warranty still good from lg?
Yes. I got a 14" Gram from them last week. BuyDig (and Costco, but especially BuyDig) has these sub-$1000 deals on LG Grams at the end of every year, presumably trying to clear out inventory. The only thing is, as previous sentence might imply, their stock is a bit old (mine dated back to March), so the battery will have some wear (like 3-4%).

So these are new, can you register for lg warranty ?
Those "mil-spec" things are mostly just marketing. It's not some real military certification, it's just something made up by laptop manufacturers.
According to Wikipedia, it's a spec controlled by three military branches. According to the article, there's a difference to being "designed" to pass these specs and actually having them properly certified by a testing agency. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MIL-STD-810
LG specifically describes which tests the Grams were tested on and passed at a formal certification lab: "*LG gram: MIL-STD-810 standard testing and certification by KOLAS Labs September to November 2020. Passed 7 different MIL-STD 810G Tests for durability conducted by an independent laboratory that conforms to U.S. military standards. Compliant with the following methods for MIL-STD-810G: Method 500.6 Low Pressure (Altitude) (Procedure I – Storage and Method and Procedure II - Operation); Method 501.6 High Temperature (Procedure I – Storage and Procedure II - Operation); Method 502.6 Low Temperature (Procedure I – Storage and Procedure II - Operation); Method 509.6 – Salt Fog Test; Method 510.6 - Dust; Method 514.7 – Vibration; Method 516.7 Shock (Procedure II) – Transportation Shock. Device may not perform as tested in all conditions. Test performed in controlled environment. Do not attempt."

These are the very lightest.
And none have a 16" screen in this category.

Now I own it for 1.5 years, the key board started to pop up and the Bottom part of the frame is slightly bent.
The laptop itself is great, but you need to take really good care of it, it is prong to bending. I carry it inside my brief case.
Is kinda my own fault, however, I never had a laptop bend on me.
same exact model number as on the current lg gram site:
