Here's more feedback, after looking at it again with another coworker today, I wouldn't stand on it to paint something. The bracing under the desktop is an H, there's a crossbar in the center and runners along the short sides at the ends. the desktop is 2 pieces, they run lengthwise, and attach at those end supports and the crossbar in the center. Seeing as they're particle board, I wouldn't trust it to stand on. I suppose you could upgrade to a butcher block style top, or some other one piece top, but you're still stuck with a motor system for an inexpensive electric desk that will be who knows how difficult to repair when it inevitably and eventually takes a long walk off a short pier.
How do we know you aren't in on countering this product for another manufacturer? Pound sand.
