Owning both; I have to disagree. The single burner (even having multiple) is far more versatile than a 2 burner Coleman style camp stove. It is almost impossible to find 2 pans or pots that will fit together and use simultaneously on a Coleman 2 burner stove, and if you want to utilize the wind screen you'll need something around 6" in diameter or smaller.
This one was very useful to have and cook in the garage during TX blackouts.
Getting another as my previous served well for the last 4 years.

Sam's has butane in bulk for less as well.
If you are cooking indoors, butane is much safer than propane.

Great price for these, you definitely can boil water and cook steaks on a cast iron with this. The only con I can think of is having to use the small cans of butane but you can pick them up for a buck at dollar stores so its just an issue of swapping them out.

I have a single burner butane stove I bought from local supermarket. I have used it for camping a few times and indoor cooking. The butane is also cheaper than propane unless you buy a 20 lb cylinder and refill the 1 lb propane tanks yourself. I made my own windscreen with cardboard and aluminum foil.

What's the price difference generally?

I have a generic version of this that I would swear is made on the same mfg line. Like others have said, the power knob is finicky but is ultimately functional. I use it most often when grilling and I don't want to have to keep going inside to manage something on the stove.

I really can't recommend the dual burners though. I grew up on them in boysouts in the 2000s and they suck for a lot of reasons. I can only imagine they still exist because people buy them for nostalgia.

Local supermarket sells four 8-ounce butane cans for $6. 32-ounces of butane fuel.

At BJs, four 16-ounce propane tanks for $19. So 32 ounces of propane fuel would cost $9.50.

Please explain. Doesn't the local propane place simply charge based on volume? How is it cheaper to do it yourself?
The only local propane place we have are where we exchange 20 lb propane tanks for a full one. When I say fill it up yourself, I have saw on youtube where someone would take a 20 lb propane tank and funnel it to the 16 ounce propane cylinders to fill them. Of course, if you have a propane refilling station near you, that would be better but I do not have such luxury here.

Butane is the worst; it's only good properties are that it is cheaper and marginally more convenient.
If you're asking about camping fuel you might be thinking of isobutane blends and not the butane fuel used this stove.
Yeah, camping, either car camping or backcountry camping, the latter for which this burner isn't really suitable due to its size. What are those round disposable gas canisters with the attachable micro stoves usually filled with? They seem so much easier to work with than white gas, if also a bit bulkier and more wasteful.

They're a mix of propane and isobutane and definitely better than just butane. I remember doing white gas camping stoves, so miserable in the cold. The cans are vastly nicer.

Got this a while ago to add to an emergency kit. Since then I've been comparing stores for fuel cost, and finally figured out my local H-mart regularly carries compatible butane cans (4pk) for $8-9.

Gotcha. We're just a mid sized city but have several uhaul places that fill tanks and a grill store that fills tanks.

I have an off brand one too. It works well and they have long been under $20 at larger Asian grocery stores in SoCal. I use it for hot pot in the center of the dining table.

What do you mean by "small cans of butane" ? These stoves use the standard 8oz canisters.

For 2 decades, I used a single burner attachment for the larger green Coleman propane bottles. Back in the 90's when I traveled all over the country, I'd be stuck on the road for months at a time. Me and my partner cooked all sorts of stuff on that propane single burner stove. Sometimes we'd find a little park to take a break from driving and we'd cook some burgers on the little stove. Other times, we'd be in a crappy motel and we'd go to a local grocery and buy some fresh fish and fry it in a skillet with lemon and butter. Cooked hundreds of meals on that single burner and it traveled all over the country stored in the trunk. Fried bologna sandwiches, spam, scrambled eggs or omelet's, sausage links, and a ton of other stuff. Don't use it anymore but it's amazing what you can cook on one.

I bought this a few months ago for $19.99 at the local Walmart. I have not seen it more than $19.99. Works great. Get your fuel tanks at an Asian Market 4 cans for $7.99
