Please don't buy the incandescent, I'm not a tree hugger, but you'll save more more with Leds.

Lowe's is 100% the worst store with pickups.

There won't be any. Lowe's will probably take them off their website soon, and the local stores will discount them further in the next few days (if they have anything left). Once they're below a certain inventory level they'll be written off and disposed of (Home Depot and other retailers do the same thing). The days of shopping for holiday lights a week or two after the 25th are almost completely over.

Planning for a Rainbow birthday party. Got a bunch of multi colored ones with 5.99 shipping. Worth it for me, instead of $1 a piece, it's $2 a piece. And I don't have to Lowes in the effing COLD 🥶 I do wish the white bulbs with white wire were also $1 oh well 🤷

The Holiday Living LEDs are garbage. So much flicker in them. When a bulb goes out I toss the entire string I hate them so much.

I am a tree hugger and a first time homeowner. After stringing up my first ever Christmas tree, I promptly removed every one because the LED glow was awful. My wife thought I was crazy. I returned with incandescents and she said, "I understand now."

Next year I'll take the hit and repurchase all the lights in the front of my house for incandescence instead of LEDs.

LEDs are aesthetically AWFUL. They defile the appearance of Christmas as far as I'm concerned. I do hope they get there someday, but they're not anywhere close yet.

And yes, I bought warm white. I keep the lights on a tight timer (5pm-9pm) so I am okay with taking the energy bill hit. It's only a few weeks a year.
I'm glad someone understands!

When I first got married and we got our first tree I also bought some colored LED bulbs thinking it was the smart thing to do for energy efficiency. I strung up the tree, plugged it in and BAM our living room lit up with all the warmth of a UFO abduction.

Straight back to the store I went for incandescent lights, and have ever since. Saving energy is great but if I can't relax by the Christmas tree what's the point?

Side note: yes, I'm aware you can get warmer color temperature white LEDs, and while they are more pleasant than the garish colored ones, they still don't emit the full spectrum of light that incandescent ones do (which results in eye strain). High CRI LEDs do exist now which emit nearly 100% of the visible light spectrum, but as long as low quality, low CRI LEDs are cheaper to produce then that's what will be used in string lights.

will they do price adjusting if the price goes down further within a month?

Still waiting on a pickup from Oct 15th. Shipped same item to home in a couple days. Managers won't come to front desk, left my number numerous times with no call back, called corporate and still no call back. If you enjoy the run around, pick items up at lowes.

Well this is very true for white but color LEDs are great for red and green
And RGB
I have a bone to pick here as well.

Incandescent colored = red and orange focused lighting
LED colored = blue and green focused lighting

At the end of the day, I grew up with the aesthetics of one from my childhood and not the other. Incandescent colored mini lights are so much more beautiful than the piercing green and blue spotlights of LED colored mini lights that it's not even funny.

Also personally not a fan of twinkle.

I think they are ok for outdoor use but I wouldn't use them indoors
Also the incandescent multicolor lights have a coating that chips off
The LED's have globes that are moulded in transparent plastic the color of the light so they can't chip or fade

Not on clearance, unreturnable merchandise ... well unless you get really lucky.

Plus there won't be stock. Now that it's on final sale people are clearing out the stores FAST. I was in NJ last weekend and they had 100's and 100's of the different types left. Now online stock shows that's almost entirely depleted.

If you bought them already and are still within the almost gone return window (holiday items can't be returned after 12/24), you could threaten to return them and rebuy them. Beyond that, like most retailers after 12/25 all holiday items cannot be returned and anything bought after 12/25 is a "final sale" item (no returns, defective holiday products included, you'll need to contact the manufacturer).

They're 75% off. How much further down do you think they could go?
I don't understand the lengths that people will go to around here to save 15¢.

I decided to go with the micro led ones that can change from multi to white. The shorter strands with 150 lights since according to the reviews those seem to last as opposed to the longer strands which have atrocious reviews. Hopefully they'll all work well next season.
