Check your email. I received a somewhat suspicious-looking email from [email protected]. It had a link to click on to redeem a prepaid digital gift card. It was legit. I used it to buy an Amazon gift card.

During the claims process it asks you how much impact it had on you and what steps did you have to take if you suffered loss, ID theft, etc. $25/hr is what they set, some claims could be up to $20,000.

The foreseable watered-down payout is why I chose the free identity protection option. I feel validated.
Of course, with all of the other breaches, most of us get that from somewhere already. I feel somewhat less validated. Carry on.
