Holy crap, when did they raise the price of that blower to $218??? That's freaking ridiculous, still 159 elsewhere which was the msrp not that long ago. Wow....

Yes that's a better deal if you want the blower. I wanted the drill driver and this was the cheapest I could find once I return the blower. The one you referenced is one sku so you can't just return the blower if all you want is the drill / driver

Is there a chance they won't let you return the blower without killing the deal? If you can return the Blower, I'm not sure why this isn't Front Page

If you use the link in the original post the combo kit and blower show in cart as 2 different skus. I just ordered this and will be returning the blower to get the drill driver combo kit for $258.02

You are CORRECT! I just ordered it that way, and it shows 2 SKU #s. I got the email confirm and it's supposed to be delivered on Saturday. I'll report back if I'm able to return just the blower. At this price, it's definitely worth a shot! Home Depot is only 2 miles from my house. Local store was showing 1 in stock... but I did not want to take a chance that it wasn't there

Not an abuse if they know and allow this. Instead of putting it on sale, they do it this way hoping customer keep the extra item and if they don't, they still made money without dropping the value of the merch.

When you guys return the item they don't ask you to return the "free tool"? I chatted with customer service to try and get them to cancel the other item that shipped to store and they refused and told me I needed to return the "free" tool at the same time. (Even though I paid for it at a discount)

As with past HD hacks posted on SD, you have to return the item to store. You get the amount refunded charged for the blower since it's a separate SKU. You can then keep the drill/driver.

This works because items are 2 different sku's. Don't chat with HD online. I've asked my local store when I was returning the blower if it's a problem if I keep the drill driver, they said no problem because it's charged as 2 separate items.

Is this Hack allowed for in store purchases (Like having two SKU) or its applicable for only online HD purchase ?Any idea ? Never checked it before.
