This thing sounds more 'hackable' than the Thunderbolt 3 (and 4) eGPU boxes. Anyone (on some tech forum?) done the/a pinout of Asus' "proprietary x8", yet?

The model# of the GPU indicates a 'mobile' card. "At best" it's an MXM module, but more than likely it's a custom-board from Asus.
Still, could be useful 'down the road' for people w/ mini PCs, desktops, workstations, etc. if it could be adapted to a normal PCIe x8, etc.
(Most proprietary 'stuff' becomes eWaste; I like keeping an eye out for 'curio' PC accessories that work in 'unsupported use cases'.)
