That's interesting. Did you end up getting the Elitebook?
I lucked out on a Lenovo Slim 7 ProX refurb that was available for a short period. Hanging out on SD paid off after years of absence, mainly because I was happy with my last slick purchase 7 years ago (there's a giant old thread on the Thinkpad T450s). Lenovo never repeated another slick deal on the Thinkpad line since then. Maybe overdue?

I'm probably going to cancel this order as I ended up getting the EliteBook 845 G9, but this was still a heck of a deal.

Great! Did you get the 865 today? How is it? Similar build to your previous elitebook? How's the display? Any ghosting in videos? I read the grey-to-grey refresh was extremely slow.

Before I cancel my order of the 14p with Lenovo, if someone here would like to take it off my hands, I'm happy to do that. I don't think they'll let me change the shipping address, but I can pay for shipping with my cash back. :-)

My total was $844 incl. CA sales tax; that was for the 6800H, 32GB RAM, 512GB SSD, with ID.me discount, and incl. about $55 extra for the upgrade to the 3-year warranty. Lenovo order status page currently shows estimated delivery date of Jan 26. PM me if interested.

Similar experience here! I got an amazing deal on a refurb Thinkpad Yoga S1 (first generation, I think) in Fall 2014. I think it was something like $600 from the Lenovo Outlet and is still going strong after 8+ years! I haven't seen any great deals on the Lenovo Outlet since then. I also ordered that Slim 7 ProX refurb on ebay, but I'm living abroad is it's going to take a few weeks. I'm glad yours worked out well, and keeping my fingers crossed on mine!

Awesome laptop other than a glitchy wifi connection. Turning off wireless security and wifi recovery in the Lenovo Vantage app and "ipconfig /release" and "ipconfig /flushdns" fixed the issue. Use security apps/settings from Windows instead. Looks brand new with only 2 or 3 battery charge cycles.

I see the seller has rather mixed/poor reviews on Amazon, Newegg, Walmart and other sites where they are a reseller. Buyers saying they received damaged or poorly refurbished units and had trouble returning them.

Anyone have experience with this seller on eBay?

My refurbished laptop came in last week And was in pristine condition. Only 1 battery charge cycle. I'll probably return it though and wait for the thinkbook to arrive

Sounds like you got a good deal with getting lucky on the pristine laptop. Why the thinkbook over this?

I feel like the slim x pro is an overkill. I really don't need dgpu and the 3k vs 2k screen. The refurb probably cost around $100 more. Thoughts on why I should keep the slim x pro over the thinkbook?
